Start in Funchal

We will pick you up at the agreed meeting point and begin our journey to discover some of the most beautiful highlights of Madeira.

Pico dos Barcelos
Our first stop is the Pico dos Barcelos viewpoint. From here, enjoy a fantastic panoramic view over Funchal, the coastline, and the surrounding mountains. It is the perfect place to take your first photos and get a taste of Madeira’s spectacular landscape.

Cristo Rei – Garajau
We then continue to the impressive Christ the King statue (Cristo Rei) in Garajau. Perched high above the Atlantic Ocean, the statue offers spectacular views of the coastline and the sea. Take some time to enjoy the scenery, take photos, and soak up the special atmosphere of this beautiful location.

Optional: Monte and the Famous Wicker Toboggans
Those who wish can extend the tour with a visit to Monte. This traditional pilgrimage village, located above Funchal, is known for its beautiful church, lush gardens, and, above all, its famous wicker toboggan rides.

The traditional *wicker toboggan ride (Carro de Cesto) is a unique Madeira experience. Sit in a handcrafted wicker sled and glide downhill along a winding route, accompanied by the experienced “Carreiros do Monte.” The toboggan ride is optional and is not included in the tour price.

Return to Funchal
After an unforgettable day featuring spectacular viewpoints, coastal scenery, and an optional traditional Madeira experience in Monte, we return to Funchal.
