Place de la Comedie (Pass by)
The starting point of your oenological journey will make you discover very colorful, powerful and harmonious wines and the terroirs on which they are produced. These wines will defy time in your cellar. The Médoc, which stretches over 80 km, is a peninsula that takes shape north of the Bordeaux agglomeration and ends at the Pointe des Graves. The wine route, which crosses it, is long and winding and offers you time to discover a mosaic of plots, dotted with castles of very different styles, sometimes flamboyant, sometimes romantic, sometimes austere. You will be amazed by this legendary route.
Chateau Dauzac

Dauzac is the first Château which borders the legendary Route des Châteaux. Fifth Classified Growth in Margaux appellation. It was his steward who invented the "Bordeaux porridge", made from copper sulphate and water. Still used today, this treatment is one of the few authorized in organic farming. Second Grand Cru Classé of Saint-Julien. Until the 19th century, the Léoville estate was one of the largest and oldest crus in the Médoc. The vineyard stretched from Château Beychevelle to Château Latour. Divided into three parts, the Châteaux Léoville Las Cases, Léoville Barton and Léoville Poyferré remain today. The guide of the castle will share with you the secrets of the work of the vine, the different techniques used for winemaking and the methods of aging in oak barrels.
