What you can expect

Travel back in time to the 1800s on this private tour to the most historic houses in St. Louis. On this customizable tour, you can step inside the very homes once occupied by pioneers, Civil War generals, and original city legislators.

Following pickup from your St. Louis hotel, you can choose to make short stops at many of the homes, or spend a longer time exploring just a few. Perhaps you begin your day with a visit to The Campbell House, the first residence in the elegant Lucas Place neighborhood. Now a museum, the home contains hundreds of possessions from its original owner, including furniture, paintings, and photographs.

Travel south to the Chatillon-DeMenil Mansion, a stunning Greek revival mansion built in 1849. Step inside to see what life would've been like during the Victorian era while listening to stories of the French founding families of St. Louis.

Conclude your tour with a stop at the historic village in Faust Park. While many of the city's original buildings have been lost to time, the village has preserved 4 homes built between 1840 and 1910. Get an inside look at the skills that were needed to survive during this time as you scope out tools and products from the blacksmith and weaving trades. Take a nostalgic ride on the retro carousel before returning to your hotel.
