What you can expect

Visit the Capodimonte Museum, one of the most prestigious museums in Naples, and discover its rich collection of Italian and European art. Located in the grand Bourbon Palace of Capodimonte used by the kings of the Two Sicilies as a summer residence and hunting lodge, the museum is the prime repository of Neapolitan painting and decorative art.

Your guide will take you to the main sections to see the legendary Farnese and Borbone Collection, the largest and most important collection of art in Southern Italy. Admire works by Tiziano, Botticelli, Bellini, and Brueghel, as well as Parmigianino and Correggio.

See a depiction of the “Crucifixion” by Masaccio, and “The Mystic Marriage of St. Catherine” by Carracci. Discover drawings by Michelangelo, as well as art by El Greco, Titian, and many more.

Wander into the old apartments to see the 18th-century furniture and a collection of royal porcelain and majolica. On the 3rd floor, you will find more contemporary art in the museum’s growing collection of significant artists of the international scene.
