Meeting Point: Hellsgate Community Guides Office or Hellsgate Elsa Main Gate

After briefing at one of the identified meeting points, we start with:

1. Hell's Gate Experience – Explore by manual bicycle cycling or walking.

Cycling is recommended for an immersive experience. Electric bikes are available with early booking and extra cost as indicated in exclusions.

Hellsgate National Park is home to animals like giraffes, buffalos, zebras, gazelles, impalas, hertbeasts, elands, wildebeests, warthogs, vervet monkeys, baboons, among others.

Learn about the geographical and cultural history of the park to understand the geography and the historical explanations of various locations inside the park. This is combined with some lessons how the local Maasai Community survives off-grid.

1. Ol-Njorowa Gorge Hike – Trek through the gorge to Pride Rock (Lion King movie) through a local Masai Market

The Ol-njorowa Gorge is one of the locations that inspired the geography in the Lion King movie, being home to the Pride Rock. It is also one of the shooting locations for the movie Tomb Raider 2 by Lara Croft.
