What you can expect

Admire the sights from the Kuranda Scenic Rail, as you choo-choo through one of the world’s most scenic train routes during this incredible full-day adventure across Aussie landscapes. Shop for local crafts at Kuranda Village before traveling above and through the Australian Tropical Rainforest on the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway.

The journey begins with a coach pickup to join the Kuranda Scenic Rail. World-renowned for its gorgeous route, this historic train charters you past cascading waterfalls and verdant rainforests.

Arrive at Kuranda, the “Village in the Rainforest,” centered within the heart of the World Heritage site, and spend some time shopping or snacking around.

It's now time to glide above the canopy of a UNESCO-listed rainforest on the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway, enjoying sweeping views of the valley, the wild rapids of Barron Falls, and the snaking bends of the Barron River.

Along the way, stop off at 2 stations to fill your camera with postcard-perfect shots of the area's natural beauty. Barron Falls Station gets up-close views of the falls as they tumble more than 860 feet (265 m) down Barron Gorge and enjoy a ranger-guided tour into the forest at Red Peak Station. At the conclusion of your Skyrail journey board a comfortable coach for your return transfer.
