The name of this famous bathing town means “Charles Bath”, given to it by the King of Bohemia Charles IV, who was convinced by the curative power of this place’s hot springs. According to the legend, Karlovy Vary was built around this miraculous spring. Another highlight of this city is the colonnades and the already mentioned hot springs, built under beautifully designed shelters. Let's travel through time and be blown away by its impressive architecture, mostly featuring Baroque and Art Nouveau mansions and multiple monuments. Don't forget to try the health-restoring hot spring waters, drunk from traditionally shaped porcelain cups.
