Villa D'Este Golf Club (Pass by)
Villa d'Este is considered one of the most beautiful works of architectural art of the sixteenth century. Designed by Pellegrino Pellegrini known as "Il Tibaldi", a famous architect of the time, the villa is immersed in a 10-hectare park with centenary plants where you can admire Pellegrino Pellegrini's Nymphaeum, the Fountain of Hercules and the Temple of Telemachus. Villa Passalacqua (Pass by)
A pearl set on the left shore of the western branch of Lake Como, Villa Passalacqua in Moltrasio is one of the points of reference for luxury hospitality in Como. Born as a private residence of the Odescalchi family, the residence has in fact become a sumptuous hotel after being owned for more than a century by the Lucini Passalacqua family who hosted personalities such as Churchill, Torelli Viollier and Bellini here.
Torno (Pass by)
Torno, a town in the province of Como, is 6 kilometers from the capital and sits on a promontory that juts out over the waters of the Lario, closing the first basin in a picturesque amphitheatre.
Villa Taverna (Pass by)
Villa Borromeo - Tavern in Torno - Como It stands on land owned by Odescalchi, the family of Benedetto, who became pope with the name of Innocent XI (1676-1689). It was built during the eighteenth century, in neoclassical style, by the Tanzi counts. Cesare Cantù describes it in detail, praising the beauty of the park: Its main pride is the gardens, artistically arranged on the slope from the high road to the lake...
The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Lago di Como (Pass by)
Villa Roccabruna is spread over two floors, surmounted by a terrace ending with a roof terrace. The upper floor is plastered, while the base and ground floor have exposed stone (serizzo in the lower part, Sarnico limestone in the upper part). Now Mandarinn Hotel 5 stars
Villa Troubetzkoy (Pass by)
built in the mid-nineteenth century, it owes its name to the Russian prince Alexander Troubetzkoy The prince demolished an extensive cliff with dynamite and for this reason he was called the "turbascogli" by the Blevians. The villa has very sloping pitches with characteristic dormer windows and the bold lift, which from the Como road descends to the lake, is an important testimony of "jugendstil" architecture
