What you can expect

Day 1: Ha Giang - Bac Sum Pass - Heaven's Gate - traditional hand-woven fabric Village - Quan Ba - Yen Minh (100km)
Stranfer: You will be picked up by a night sleeper bus at 01:30 pm - 08:00 pm, transferred from Hanoi to Ha Giang. The bus will arrive in Ha Giang around 08:00pm - 03:00 am. And we will provide you free room in our hostel for sleeping until 8:30am before the tour starts.
For travelers coming from other locations such as Cao Bang, Sapa, or Ha Long, we kindly request that you plan to arrive one day prior to the scheduled departure on Day 1. Furthermore, if you are planning to travel by motorbike, we would appreciate it if you could allocate the morning of Day 1 to complete certain procedures before meeting the group and commencing the journey after lunch.
If you would like to take the day bus or a limousine, please make a request in the booking.

Additionally, we have a swimming pool for everyone to enjoy, a lively bar with great music and delicious cocktails. If you arrive late in the evening, we can arrange a later check-in to accommodate your schedule.
At 9:30 AM: Our local Easy Rider Team will pick you up from your hotel, hostel, homestay, or bus station, or we can start from our office in Ha Giang. You will have time to rest after the tiring overnight bus journey from Hanoi to Ha Giang. After breakfast, it will be time to prepare for the trip. Our tour guide will be present at 9:00 am and will guide everyone in the preparation tasks. The tour guide will also provide a detailed introduction to the route using a map. For self-driving customers, we will allocate time to practice driving. As Ha Giang is one of the most dangerous roads in northern Vietnam, careful preparation is necessary.

10:30 AM: Have Lunch in our restaurant at Quiri Peninsula. Here you can choose from Western Food or Vietnamese Food with amazing quality.
11:30 AM: Let's start our excursion. We will take you on a journey for the first day, riding uphill to Bac Sum Pass. The road to the top consists of 20 winding curves, often referred to as the 'snake road.' From the summit, you will be able to enjoy a panoramic view of the landscape and valleys, where hidden villages of ethnic minority groups can be seen. Afterwards, our tour will continue to the Heaven Gate in Tam Son, which is located at an altitude of over 1200m above sea level. Here, you can witness a spectacular landscape with magnificent limestone mountains and vast deep valleys. Next, we will ride to a viewpoint to see the Twins Hill and visit a clay house village called Nam Dam. This village is home to 100% Dao ethnic minority people, and you will have the opportunity to learn about their local culture and the unique architecture of their clay houses
2:00 PM: Our tour guide will take you to visit a local family who uses 'hemp' to weave fabric and create traditional clothes. You will experience their daily life and witness the traditional craftsmanship of the indigenous ethnic people with enthusiastic guidance from our tour guide. Afterwards, You will experience the daily life of the locals and witness the process of weaving fabrics and creating traditional clothing. And you will have the opportunity to learn about the intricate art of hand-weaving. We will traverse many lesser-known country roads, allowing us to witness breathtaking landscapes and explore some hidden villages. We will also make a stop at the peak of the loop road to admire an overview of the valley.
5:00 PM: Arrive in Yen Minh Town and stay at a homestay. It's your free time now, so you can rest, have some beer, or take a shower after a tiring day of driving.
For customers with large luggage, you can leave it at the office because after the trip, we will be picked up by the bus at the office at the end of the trip.

Day 2: Yen Minh - Tham Ma Road - H'mong King Palace - Lung Cu Flag Pole - Thien Huong Ancient Village - Dong Van

9:00 AM: After breakfast, we will start our excursion again. Today, our riders will take about an hour for driving to reach Tham Ma Road, one of the biggest challenges for the horses that used to live here in the past. This road consists of 9 winding curves, which looks very beautiful. Due to its steep incline, it has made many horses in Ha Giang give up, which is why it is called 'Tham Ma' in Sino-Vietnamese, meaning 'testing horses'.
10:30 AM: We will reach the palace of the king who once ruled the entire mountain region In the 18th century, when this land was still an autonomous region.. You will be able to admire the wonderful architecture of the ancient Hmong people and learn more about Vietnamese history, culture, and the formation of the people in this area. This is an opportunity for you to gain more knowledge and deepen your understanding of this place
12:00 PM: We will visit Lung Cu Flag Pole, where you can see the border area between Vietnam and China territory. The views are splendid and vast from the flag pole or the observation point. Then, we will have time to visit a village called Lo Lo Chai, where a small group of ethnic minority people known as Lo Lo lives. In Vietnam, Lo Lo people have traditional houses built with clay. We will have lunch at a local restaurant.
2:30 PM: Thien Huong is also famous for its lush and natural environment, with fields, terraced rice fields, and picturesque landscapes. You can take a stroll through the village, engage in outdoor activities such as hiking, wander through meadows, or simply sit back, relax, and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the ancient village.
Thien Huong Ancient Village is an ideal destination for those who want to explore the culture and heritage of the Vietnamese people. Immerse yourself in the serene atmosphere and unique cultural traditions of this ancient village. The village has houses built from wood and bricks, showcasing the beauty and sophistication of traditional architecture. You can stroll through the narrow streets, admire the village gates, and ancient temples. Traditional handicraft activities such as weaving fabric and making pottery will provide you with a deep insight into the culture and daily life of the local people. When you visit Thien Huong, you will enter a bygone world.
17:00 PM: We will arrive in Dong Van late afternoon, just in time to enjoy a good dinner after a long day full of adventures.
In the evening, you can explore the town and relax before the next eventful day. Dong Van was also a place where the French stayed and established a governance system.

  • Please note that on weekends, there is a Sunday market that is worth visiting, as it serves as a cultural and trading hub for the local people.

Day 3: Dong Van Town - Ma Pi Leng Pass - Nho Que River Canyon - Meo Vac Town - Mau Due Valley - Du Gia Village

9:00 am: After enjoying a delicious breakfast, we will depart from Dong Van Town. Our motorbike rider will take you to witness the most beautiful part of the entire journey, which is located on the Happiness Road The remote road connects the city of Ha Giang and the geopark area. This section is known as Ma Pi Leng Pass, famous for its rugged rocks and breathtaking views. It is considered the most challenging pass in the northern region and often referred to as the “king” of passes in Vietnam. The road winds through the rocks and reaches an altitude of 2,000 meters as it crosses Ma Pi Leng Pass.
12:00 pm: We will reach the Nho Que River. From the breathtaking mountain viewpoint, you will have a 360° experience and then ride to witness the panoramic view of Ma Pi Leng Pass on The Boat Trip, capturing unforgettable pictures. Standing at the peak of the pass, you will be awed by the grandeur of the surrounding mountains and rivers. We will then proceed with our journey to more remote villages, where you will gain insights into the lives of people in the distant parts of Vietnam. The region boasts natural landscapes unparalleled in their beauty, with colossal walls, abundant granite outcrops, picturesque rice terraces that reach up to the sky, hanging valleys, and roads carved into the mountainsides.
1:00 pm: We will make a pit stop for lunch and drinks in Meo Vac. From Meo Vac Town, we will continue our journey through the trail road area of Ha Giang province to reach Du Gia village. Du Gia is known for its amazing landscape and is a famous village where seven ethnic minority groups coexist.
5:00 pm: Get back to the homestay in Du Gia. Du Gia is one of the pristine villages, exuding a peaceful and rustic beauty. Here, the Du Gia waterfall flows all year round - a place that attracts many adventurous souls seeking to discover and find inner peace. To reach the Du Gia waterfall, visitors will have to conquer a challenging journey. However, once you arrive here, you will be able to admire an extremely peaceful, like a “sleeping fairy” in the mountains and forests scenery. Enjoy the fresh air where you can truly immerse yourself in the nature of the mountains and forests, erasing all the worries of life.

  • Please remember to bring your swimsuit and towels. Sunscreen will also be important as we will have many outdoor recreational activities in Du Gia. The tour guide will prepare an ample supply of drinks for everyone before we head to the waterfall.

DAY4: DU GIA VILLAGE - BAC ME - BAO LAC TOWN

9:00 am: After enjoying a delicious breakfast, we will depart from Du Gia Village. Our motorbike rider will take you to witness the most beautiful part of the entire journey, From the 'Du Gia' village, we will head south to reach 'QL34' road. On our way, we will pass through many local villages, cross rice fields, and tackle challenging mountain passes. To reach 'QL34,' it will take approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes of travel time, including breaks and photo stops, making the total duration about 3 hours.
13:30: 'Cang Bac Me' was built on the slopes of Mount Rong, facing the Gam River, located in Don Dien hamlet, Yen Cuong commune, Bac Me district. The location of Cang Bac Me was chosen by the French colonialists to establish control and monitor the transportation route connecting the three provinces of Ha Giang, Tuyen Quang, and Cao Bang. “Cang” in French phonetics means a fort or military camp, and “Bac Me” in the local language is known as Pac Mia, meaning a gateway or checkpoint. In essence, Cang Bac Me served as a military camp and checkpoint established by the French colonialists before 1938. Initially, this military camp housed only a unit of green berets and a few local militia units under the command of a French officer.
16:30: Time to get to the homestay. Our homestay location will be with a small family living separately on the mountaintop, providing a very cool and comfortable atmosphere with pleasant weather. You can take a leisurely walk around to admire and take photos of the scenic views from the homestay's elevated position.

DAY5: BAO LAC - KHAU COC (15 FLOORS PASS) - HO CHI MINH HIDDEN CAVE OF HISTORY - CAO BANG

  • 8:30am: having local breakfast in the homastay and preparing for the long drving day. tarting our journey today, we will explore one of the most treacherous and majestic mountain passes in northern Vietnam, known as the 'Khau Coc' 15-tier pass. Based on the rock formations, an official name has been given to it. Because above the pass's summit lies 'Coc Cha Plateau,' and in the language of the Tay ethnic people, 'Khau' means 'pass,' henceforth, the pass is officially named 'Khau Coc Cha Pass.' Additionally, 'Coc Cha' is also the name of a type of tree that grows abundantly on the pass's summit.
    13:00: Hang Pac Po, also known as Coc Po Cave, means “the source” in Vietnamese. Hang Pac Po is located in Pac Bo village, Truong Ha commune, Ha Quang district, Cao Bang province. This site is part of the special national historical relic complex known as Pac Po - Cao Bang. After more than 30 years of relentless pursuit for the path to national salvation, President Ho Chi Minh returned to his homeland and chose Hang Pac Po as a place to stay. Hang Pac Bo covers an area of about 80m2, and its entrance is quite small, allowing only one person to pass through at a time. It is located in Truong Ha commune, Ha Quang district, Cao Bang province, approximately 52km north of Cao Bang city.

  • 16:30: Arrive to the homestay / hostel in CAO BANG city check in and have amazing dinner.

DAY6: CAO BANG - GOD EYE MOUNTAIN - NGUOM NGOO CAVE - BAN GIUOC VILLAGE: 150KM

  • 8:30am: having local breakfast in the homastay and preparing for the long drving day. tarting our journey today, we will see Mount Mat Than (God Eye Mountain) is located approximately 32 kilometers from the city center of Cao Bang. Scientists have conducted research and completed the documentation for the Non-Submersible Geological Park in Cao Bang province, which is the origin of the name 'Mount Ma Than.' Furthermore, the local residents often refer to this mountain as 'Phja Piót' in the native Tay language or simply as the 'Mountain with a Hole.' This name reflects the frequent passage of winds through the mountain, creating fresh air for the Danh region.

In addition to the Nang Tra Waterfall, you can enjoy food sourced from the natural mountain forest, such as sweet potatoes, wild fruits, and local dishes prepared with ingredients from Thang Hen Lake area, including beef with aromatic herbs, grilled green catfish, hillside chicken, and more. These dishes are complemented by a warm and hearty rice wine made from traditional Tay recipes using distilled corn and leaf yeast. Savoring these dishes in mild, cool weather will give you a sense of peace and simplicity, while immersing yourself in nature and experiencing the local specialties.

12:00: Have lunch in 'TRUNG KHANH' town and 20m break.
13:00: We will reach the Nguom Ngao Cave also known as Ngao Cave, was discovered in 1921 and opened to tourists in 1996. According to a survey conducted in 1995 by the Royal Geographical Society of the United Kingdom, the cave has a length of 2,144 meters and three main entrances known as Nguom Lom (hidden beneath a rock at the base of the mountain), Nguom Ngao (a few hundred steps from the mountain's base), and Ban Thuon (located behind the mountain, near the Thuon village of the Tay ethnic group).

17:00: Arrive to the homestay near the waterfall and have the local food with karaoke.

DAY7: WATER FALL BAN - TRUC LAM TEMPLE - CAO BANG CITY - HA NOI

8:00 AM: After breakfast, we will start our excursion again. Today, We will have the opportunity to admire the beauty of one of the most stunning waterfalls in Vietnam, as we pass through rice fields and immerse ourselves in the sound of flowing water. Not only Vietnam but also China is utilizing its beauty for tourism development. It is one of the famous waterfalls, not just in our country but also known internationally. Ranking among the top four largest transnational waterfalls in the world, the main waterfall (Duc Thien) boasts a width of 100 meters, a depth of 60 meters, and a height of 70 meters.
10:00: After visiting the waterfall we will make a short trekking to the temple that location on the top of the mountain. Truc Lam Ban Gioc Pagoda is situated amid the Phia Nhan Mountains. Therefore, when you gaze at this Buddhist structure from a distance, it stands out against the vast mountainous backdrop. The winding and steep road leading to the pagoda resembles a path of spiritual cultivation, symbolizing the hardships and dedication required to attain enlightenment. To reach the pagoda, you need to climb several steps, making comfortable sports or hiking shoes the wisest choice. This ensures ease of movement and reduces the risk of slipping. Although it can be quite strenuous, once you arrive, you will be rewarded with the gentle breeze brushing against you, and the fresh, clean air that dispels all worries and troubles of daily life.

12:00: Have lunch in the village near the temple with local food.

13:00: keep driving back to the city the bus will pick you up at the city aground 14:00 - 16:00 to HA NOI.
