The beautiful sights of the Arctic are waiting for you on this expedition to see the aurora borealis light up the sky. A hospitable host and prime location give you an excellent chance to spot one of the Northern Hemisphere's great natural wonders.
Your journey begins with a ride to one of 5 private base stations which will be selected according to the weather forecast, located in different areas across the countryside to account for different weather. Here, you can take advantage of the warm shelters, winter suits, tripods, campfires, and outdoor benches while you wait for the lights.
While you wait, your hosts check the weather to make sure you're still in the ideal location, or if you should hit the road again to find a clear sky. Enjoy some hot chocolate and lefse, a sweet Norwegian cake, as you watch for the otherworldly glow to sweep overhead. Get some advice from your guide on how to get the best photos of the sight, and your hosts capture their own high-resolution pictures that you can take home as well free of charge.

Unfortunately the weather gods were not kind to us on our planned night. Interestingly all other companies postponed their planned tours on this night due to bad weather, I feel this should have done. Hot drink and snack was not much to speak of, luckily we could buy something else. The tour was in a bus, a full bus meaning everything took ages. Rebooked with a smaller tour group several nights later and had a great experience.
