What you can expect

Your day begins with a visit to Khor Virap Monastery, one of the most iconic landmarks of the country. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Mount Ararat, this sacred site marks the place where Saint Gregory the Illuminator was imprisoned before converting King Trdat III, leading to Armenia becoming the world’s first Christian nation.

Continue to Echmiadzin. Here you’ll visit the Mother Cathedral of Echmiadzin, the spiritual center of the Armenian Apostolic Church and one of the oldest Christian cathedrals in the world.

Nearby stands the beautiful St. Hripsime Church, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of Armenia’s finest examples of early Christian architecture.

The tour concludes with a stop at the Zvartnots Cathedral ruins, a masterpiece of 7th-century Armenian architecture and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Though partially collapsed, Zvartnots still impresses visitors with its grand design and elegant stone carvings, offering a glimpse into the sophistication of medieval Armenian art.
