Come discover the only inhabited island in the Valencian Community!
The island of Tabarca is located in front of the city of Alicante. Its waters are a Mediterranean Marine Reserve due to its excellent quality and the biodiversity of its flora and fauna. Its coasts housed in the past a refuge for Barbary pirates.
In the 18th century, Carlos III ordered it to be fortified and a town built there to house several families of fishermen from Genoa who were captive in the Tunisian city of Tabarka.
The walls that surround its urban nucleus have been declared a Historic-Artistic Site and an Asset of Cultural Interest.
To get to and from the island we will embark on a catamaran and we will make a journey of approximately 45 minutes - a very beautiful trip through the Mediterranean Sea that will refresh our mornings and afternoons!
We will spend the day on its beaches, we will visit the town and we will go hiking along its coasts.
One of the sports that is practiced a lot on the island's beaches is Snorkeling! An unforgettable experience! Spectacular beauty of the sea! You can contemplate the fish in their natural environment, the seabed and its flora.
