What you can expect

Join us for an unforgettable day trip from Milan to the stunning coastal destinations of Genoa and Portofino, with tours available in both English and Spanish.

Nicknamed The Proud, Genoa is Italy’s largest port city, celebrated for its rich maritime heritage and breathtaking architecture.

Your adventure begins with a comfortable, air-conditioned bus ride departing from Piazza IV Novembre. Upon arrival in Genoa, enjoy a guided walking tour of the city’s historic center, where you’ll visit iconic landmarks like Piazza de Ferrari, Palazzo Ducale, and the Cattedrale di San Lorenzo. You’ll also have the chance to see the house traditionally believed to be Christopher Columbus’ birthplace. After the guided tour, take advantage of some free time to explore the charming alleys, sip on local coffee, or visit museums at your own pace.

In the afternoon, continue by bus to the picturesque town of Santa Margherita Ligure. There, you’ll board a boat for a scenic cruise to the glamorous village of Portofino. Known for its vibrant, colorful houses and stunning harbor, Portofino provides the perfect backdrop for relaxation and exploration. You’ll have around an hour of free time to visit landmarks like the Church of St. George or simply soak in the breathtaking views along the marina.

As you return to Santa Margherita Ligure by boat and rejoin the bus for your journey back to Milan, you can reflect on the wonderful experiences of the day.

  • Please note that the boat cruise can only be undertaken when the weather and sea conditions are favourable for sailing. In the event of sea conditions unfavourable to navigation, the cruise cannot be carried out for reasons of public safety. In this case the cruise can be made by public boat or even not made and Portofino will be reached in other ways. As this is a case of force majeure, failure to carry out the cruise will NOT entitle to any refund, even partial.
