Escape Amsterdam and pedal into the heart of Dutch countryside — where windmills still turn, chocolate makers craft their treats, and locals wave as you pass through nature reserves most tourists never see.
Just a short ferry ride from central Amsterdam, we'll glide into the peaceful Waterlands region on comfortable e-bikes. Watch the city fade behind you as canals, grazing cows, and classic Dutch farms come into view. The air here smells sweeter (there's a chocolate factory nearby), and the pace slows to what Holland is really about.
We're not just dropping you at Zaanse Schans — we're taking you there the scenic way, through tranquil nature reserves and countryside paths that tour buses can't reach. Once we arrive at this iconic Dutch heritage site, you'll understand why those postcard photos exist: working windmills rising against huge skies, traditional green wooden houses lining the water, and the peaceful rhythm of a place that's kept its soul.
You'll have free time to explore at your own pace. Grab lunch at a local café, watch real artisans making wooden clogs, visit a traditional cheese farm, or simply wander and soak it all in. Our guides know the best spots and are happy to share recommendations — or give you space to discover on your own.
The journey is just as memorable as the destination. We'll stop at working windmills where you can meet the people who keep these historic structures running. We'll cruise through the 't Twiske nature reserve, where the only sounds are birds and your bike tires on the path. And on the way back, we'll pause in Zaandam to photograph the surreal Inntel Hotel — a stack of 70 traditional houses (your Instagram will thank you).
Before returning to Amsterdam, we'll pass through NDSM Werf, the city's creative post-industrial district, where street art and innovation collide.
This tour covers about 40km, but here's the thing: the Netherlands is famously flat, and our comfortable e-bikes do the heavy lifting. You control how much effort you put in. Most of our route runs through peaceful countryside and dedicated bike paths, so you'll spend your time enjoying scenery, not dodging traffic.
A basic ability to ride a bike is all you need.
Why Ride With Us?
Our guides don't just know the route — they designed it. We created this journey from scratch, and what makes it special can't be copied.
We're also the only company that limits groups to 10 riders maximum. While others pack 15+ into their tours, we keep things intimate. You'll actually hear your guide's stories, get personalized recommendations, and ride at a pace that works for everyone. This feels less like a tour and more like exploring with friends.
What to Bring
Comfortable clothes and weather-appropriate layers (Dutch weather can be unpredictable!), plus money for lunch and any souvenirs at Zaanse Schans. We provide rain gear if needed, and helmets are available to borrow at our shop.
