This is not a standard photoshoot and not a conventional day tour. It is a carefully curated full-day Scottish portrait experience for one or two guests wearing traditional Highland dress, photographed across some of the most striking, atmospheric and characterful locations in Aberdeenshire.

Your day begins with private pick-up in Aberdeen from an agreed location, whether that is your accommodation, home, station or another meeting point within the city. From there, we head out on a route shaped around the best light, weather and conditions of the day, with the aim of creating a varied and visually rich body of images rather than simply moving quickly from place to place.

Depending on the season, weather and the style of portraits you want to create, the experience may include a combination of dramatic coastline, beaches and dunes, harbours and fishing villages, cobbled streets, stone architecture, old walls, woodland settings and other carefully selected locations across Aberdeenshire. Every route is curated with photography in mind, balancing atmosphere, variety, visual coherence and the practical rhythm of the day.

Throughout the experience, I will guide you not only through the route itself but also through the photographic process: how to stand, move and use each location naturally, how to work with the landscape and surroundings, and how to create portraits that feel confident, elegant and distinctly Scottish without looking stiff or over-directed. The aim is to create a final gallery that feels more like a personal Scottish editorial than a simple portrait session.
