What you can expect

Explore the subtropical wilderness of the Everglades on Florida’s finest eco-tour with the Everglades Day Safari. The safari includes narrated transportation from the Sanibel/Fort Myers/Naples area to the four main ecosystems of the Everglades.

Experience a guided nature walk through the serene Pine Flatwoods of the Western Everglades along the CREW Marsh Trail. Your naturalist will share insights into the unique plants, wildlife, and hydrology that make this habitat so important, from towering slash pines and blooming wildflowers to the seasonal wetlands that sustain wading birds and other native species. This peaceful hike offers a rare chance to explore one of Florida’s most diverse and scenic ecosystems.

Next - Glide across the waters of Lake Trafford on an exciting airboat ride, where panoramic views meet close encounters with nature. Skim past lily pads and pond apple trees as your captain points out alligators, wading birds, and other wildlife that thrive in this pristine freshwater lake. The open-air ride offers a thrilling yet smooth journey through one of Southwest Florida’s hidden gems.

Enjoy a relaxing lunch at the Island Café in historic Everglades City, a charming small-town eatery known for its friendly atmosphere and fresh, local flavors. Savor classic Florida favorites—from seafood specialties to hearty sandwiches—while soaking in the laid-back vibe in the heart of the Everglades.

Step back in time with a visit to Smallwood’s Store Museum, a historic trading post that tells the story of pioneer life in the Everglades. Then board a comfortable boat for a scenic cruise into Everglades National Park, where you’ll navigate through mangrove-lined waterways in search of dolphins, manatees, sea turtles, and a variety of coastal birds. This combination of history and wildlife makes for a truly unforgettable Everglades experience.

Tours depart daily with several convenient pick-ups in southwest Florida starting at 7:30 AM. Tours are limited to small groups and reservations are required.
