In 1913, Gatún Lake became the largest artificial lake, supported by the biggest dam in the world. Today, it remains an essential part of the renowned Panama Canal.

We are going on a boat trip across the lake to visit the Embera village, Embera drua is just one of the four indigenous communities that we can choose to visit on this trip . During our visit, we will learn about their traditions and how indigenous people live in the village. Additionally, we will enjoy a local lunch consisting of fried plantains with tilapia. We will take a guided tour through the village, visit their craft market, and watch a traditional dance show the indigenous people perform.
