What you can expect
This tour takes you to the most beautiful sights of the Bavarian Alps. You will not only see beautiful landscapes, but also stunning castles and quaint Bavarian villages.
Visit Germany’s number 1 fairy tale castle: Neuschwanstein! Built from 1869 to 1886 by King Ludwig II of Bavaria it is unique in the world with its breathtaking location and fantastic interior decorations - it even served as the model for Walt Disney's castle.
You will also visit Wieskirche church – a stunning Catholic pilgrimage church in the Rococo style.
Oberammergau village is not to be missed when exploring the Bavarian Alps. It is a typical Bavarian village renowned for its painted houses “Lüftlmalerei”. It is also the village where the Passion Play takes place every 10 years.
Near Oberammergau lies the impressive abbey complex Ettal. Your guide will introduce you into the life of the monks there.
Linderhof Palace and its surrounding park is another palace built by King Ludwig II of Bavaria. In fact, this “Royal Villa” is the only palace he was able to complete. Behind the Baroque facade, beautiful and richly decorated Rococo-styled rooms can be found.
