Some places deserve more than a quick visit. The Clare Valley is one of them.
Experience the Clare Valley. There's more here than wineries.
If you're planning to stay in Clare Valley accommodation, you've already made a good decision. I'll collect you from your accommodation, so your holiday begins in the Clare Valley, not with a long drive to reach it. More time is spent exploring the region and less time travelling to it.
Your Day. Your Pace.
You'll visit a mix of boutique family wineries and well-known Clare Valley names, but the day isn't built around a stopwatch. Stay a little longer when everyone's enjoying themselves, enjoy the quiet roads between cellar doors, and discover a region that rewards those who slow down.
If you're staying a little longer, I'll happily share ideas for other places to visit and things to do while you're in the Clare Valley.
Every guest brings something different to the day. Some have toured wine regions around the world. Others are joining their very first wine tour. Some enjoy discussing Riesling and grape varieties, while others simply know what they like in the glass. The Clare Valley welcomes them all.
Your Local Guide.
I'm Charles, and I'll be your guide for the day. Living locally, I've discovered that the Clare Valley is about much more than wine. It's about generous country hospitality, villages with their own character, quiet landscapes and people who are passionate about what they do. Along the way I'll share those stories as we visit carefully selected cellar doors and places that reflect the character of the region.
A Day to Remember.
Your day includes a generous charcuterie-style lunch featuring local cheeses, meats and regional produce at one of the wineries along the way. Cellar door tasting fees are additional and are usually around $10 per person, although they're often waived with a purchase.
With no more than five guests, the atmosphere is relaxed, friendly and personal. You'll head home with more than a few favourite wines. You'll leave understanding why so many people fall in love with the Clare Valley.
