Our tour begins with a convenient hotel pickup from your accommodation on Cat Ba Island. We will collect you between 8:00 AM and 8:15 AM in the winter and between 8:15 AM and 8:30 AM in the summer. (We will contact you in advance to confirm the exact time).
Upon arrival at the Ben Beo Pier, you'll board our traditional boat and begin navigating through the stunning Lan Ha Bay. As we cruise, you'll admire the imposing limestone formations and pass by Cai Beo, one of Vietnam's oldest and largest Floating Fishing Villages. You'll get to see how the village works and learn about the daily lives of the local fishermen.
Next, we'll cruise to the breathtaking Ha Long Bay, a World Heritage Site. On our way, we'll board kayaks and paddle through the largest limestone archipelago in Vietnam. We will move through beautiful caves and explore hidden areas! You can enjoy the views as you navigate the clear, calm waters. Make sure to wear sunscreen if it's a bright day.
After your kayaking adventure, we'll return to the boat for a delicious lunch featuring fresh seafood and vegetarian options, prepared by our local crew. You can take a moment to relax on the deck and enjoy the stunning scenery as we pass by Ha Long bay. When lunch is finished, our captain will find the perfect spot to drop anchor, giving you time to go for a swim. You'll have the option to swim to the secluded and tranquil Ba Trai Dao Beach, or use our provided gear for a snorkeling session to discover the area's vibrant marine life. Guests also love to jump off the side of the boat!
At the end of the journey, we'll make a stop at Monkey Island. Keep an eye out for the island's playful residents! Additionally, you can choose to climb the top of the island and enjoy the amazing views of Lan Ha bay. The hike can be challenging, so make sure to bring proper footwear. From there, we will cruise back through the fisherman's village during the beautiful golden hour before returning to Ben Beo Pier. The trip concludes around 4:00 PM to 4:30 PM, where a bus will be waiting to take you back to your hotel.
Important Things to Note:
- Schedule: The itinerary is subject to minor changes based on weather conditions.
- Monkeys: Encounters with the monkeys are very common but are not guaranteed as they are wild animals.
- Depending on the tide, our boat may not be able to anchor directly at Monkey island, so we will need to swim ashore. For those who intend to climb to the top, we suggest bringing a bigger waterproof bag to carry your hiking shoes.
