Hike Table Mountain the most scenic way — through lush forest, hidden dams, and dramatic viewpoints — with a knowledgeable local guide who ensures a safe, relaxed, and unforgettable experience.
This route via Skeleton Gorge is one of Cape Town’s most beautiful and rewarding hikes, taking you from the botanical gardens all the way to the summit of one of the world’s most iconic mountains.
WHY CHOOSE THIS HIKE
The most scenic route up Table Mountain (forest, ladders & views)
Guided by a local expert – no stress about navigation or safety
Small group experience – more personal, flexible pace
Plenty of photo stops at the best viewpoints
⛰️ Reach the summit properly – not just the cable car station
WHAT TO EXPECT
We start in the beautiful Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens and ascend through dense indigenous forest along the famous Skeleton Gorge trail.
Along the way, you’ll climb wooden ladders, pass waterfalls (seasonal), and reach the peaceful Hely-Hutchinson Dam — a hidden highlight many visitors never see.
From there, the landscape opens up as we make our way across the top of Table Mountain, finishing at the upper cable station.
At the summit, you’ll have time to relax, take in the views, and celebrate the achievement before descending by cable car (weather permitting).
