Our English-speaking guide will meet you on the lobby of your hotel in Guangzhou city centre. Then you will drive to Foshan city by coach, which will take about an hour. Foshan's history dates back nearly 5,000 years, and the city is regarded as the hometown of many traditional Cantonese arts. Your morning starts with a visit to Foshan Ancestral Temple, one of the city's first temples dating back to the 11th century. After discovering the temple's long past, enjoy a performance of kung fu and lion dancing.
Continue on to Nanfeng Ancient Kiln, a 500-year-old kiln that's still used today to fire pottery. Take the opportunity to create and fire your own ceramic piece in the amazing Ming Dynasty relic. After a break for a delicious Cantonese lunch, head to the Foshan Folk Art Institute, where you can learn about local crafts such as paper-cutting and porcelain-making.
Your final stop is at Bruce Lee's Ancestral Home, a humble folk residence built to immortalize the ancestors of the famous martial artist. Take your time perusing displays about the life and career of Bruce Lee,.
Once this activity is finished, you’ll be taken back to your hotel in downtown Guangzhou or if you wish, Foshan’s city center.
