Know Before You Book
Children 11 and younger are not allowed.
You must weigh less than 285 pounds (129 kg).
Maximum group size is 16 people.
You do not need previous kayaking experience, but you must be able to engage in an active paddle for 3 hours. If you have limited mobility, you should not take part.
Pickup is available at the Golden Nugget, Stratosphere, SLS, Circus Circus, Encore, Treasure Island, Caesars Palace, Bellagio, Aria, Flamingo, Paris, Excalibur, and Mandalay Bay. You can arrange your pick-up location when you confirm your reservation.
Guests may meet at the Hoover Dam Lodge, 40 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip. Parking is available at no extra charge, and guests here and is last to be picked up and first to be dropped off from the excursion. You may also meet directly at the launch point at Willow Beach Marina.
Hotel pickup is to 2 hours before the tour time. You will be notified of your exact pick-up time via text or email the day before the activity.
What you can expect
Experience the incredible beauty of the Colorado River on this awe-inspiring kayaking expedition just 45 minutes out of Las Vegas. A 4-mile (6.4-km) round trip takes you out through the stunning Black Canyon, with stops at a historic overlook and the enchanting Emerald Cave.
The journey starts at the idyllic Willow Beach, where you take your gear and kayak and paddle out with your expert guide. Check out the towering walls of Black Canyon as they rise around you, framing the spectacular desert landscape and the serene waters of the river. You can spot bald eagles wheeling overhead, and bighorn sheep along the banks, as you make your way upstream.
Make a pit stop to gaze down on the mighty river from a historic overlook, and then discover more breathtaking beauty at Emerald Cave—named for its green waters that glimmer like emeralds when the sun hits at just the right angle. After you've explored this magical cavern, it's time to start paddling back downstream to end your adventure with a return to Willow Beach.
