What you can expect

Bangkok is known by its abbreviated name to Thais - Krung Thep. The full name happens to give it the distinction of being the city with the longest name in the world! This three hour city tour takes you to three of the most prominent temples in the city, The Golden Temple, The Temple of the Reclining Buddha and The Marble Temple.

Established in 1782 by the first King of the Chakri Dynasty, His Majesty King Phra Phutta Yotfa Chugalug Maha Rat, Bangkok can be regarded as one of the most fascinating ancient cities in the world. Today it is home to over 11 million people and is littered with skyscrapers, modern technology, its famous traffic issues, unbeatable shopping opportunities and so much more.

This tour takes you through the bustle and hustle of Bangkok to visit Wat Trimitr, Wat Pho and Wat Benchamabophit.

Wat Trimitr -This temple is known for its famous Golden Buddha constructed during the Sukhothai period. The solid gold Image is 3 metres high and weighs five and a half tons.

Wat Pho - This temple is one of Bangkok’s oldest and largest temples. Wat Pho was built by King Rama I about 200 years ago and houses the gigantic gold plated Reclining Buddha image. This unique image is 49 metres long and 12 metres high with beautifully inlaid mother-of-pearl soles.

Driving past Sanam Laung (The Royal Field), Democracy Monument, Ratcha Damnoen Klang Avenue and associate buildings, Anantasamakhom Palace and Parliament Building is the third, very fascinating, temple visit.

Wat Benchamabophit- This temple is well-known because its main building was built of white Italian marble from Carrara during the reign of King Rama V.
