Begin your adventure by meeting at the Cheat River Outfitters main Visitor Center in Albright. Get ready for your trip by renting a wetsuit or changing into river clothes. Apply sunscreen if necessary, lock everything up in your car, and drop your keys in the key bucket. Leave your phone behind and enjoy a day of wilderness and being unplugged.
Listen to the safety briefing and give a hearty YeeHaw to get ready for an awesome adventure. Grab your PFD, helmet, and paddle, and hop on the bus for the 10-15 minute ride to the river put-in. Meet your guide and learn all about how to sit and paddle.
Get on the river and have the time of your life. Enjoy the pristine river and lack of crowds. Experience good fun rafting in a laid-back river environment. Take in the beautiful scenery, exciting rapids, and plenty of spots to take a swim.
The Narrows is a very clean section of river and it is not uncommon to observe wildlife from fish in the river, deer on the shore, and eagles in the sky. Meet the bus at the take-out and chill out with a cold drink on the drive back to the Outfitter.
Arrive back at the Outfitters. Grab your keys and get dry, check out some river pics, shop for a souvenir, and give your guide a big thanks for your river day. Go home and tell your friends about your amazing day on the Cheat River.
