Your guided tour starts at 9:00 from Sofia center meeting point or from your hotel (accommodation) depending on the option you have booked. Leaving the big city onboard our comfortable small-group minivans, a scenic 1h 30m. transfer through Iskar gorge takes you to the small village of Zasele for stunning top-of the hill views over the valley, Iskak river and train line below. A 30-minute walk to the famous Skaklia waterfall will reward you with freshness and beautiful views over the water cascades! A more relaxed option during this 1-hour stop is to enjoy a drink on a gorge valley terrace.
Your next 1-hour transfer from around 11:30 till 12:30 takes you deeper into the most beautiful part of Iskar gorge and to the charming 14-th century old Cherepish Monastery. During the 45-minute visit you will learn about Bulgarian Orthodox church and famous writers Ivan Vazov and Aleko Konstantinov and their inspiration by the Swiss-like charming nature of Iskar river gorge and Stara planina (Balkan mountain).
