What you can expect

Tsutenkaku Tower is one of Osaka’s most recognizable landmarks, located in the lively Shinsekai district. Originally inspired by the Eiffel Tower and first built in 1912, later reconstructed in 1956, the tower stands as a nostalgic symbol of Osaka’s post-war revival and local culture.

Rising approximately 103 meters high, Tsutenkaku offers an observation deck with panoramic views of the city, where visitors can see everything from the bustling streets of Shinsekai to the wider Osaka skyline. Inside the tower, guests will find themed exhibits, retro displays, and the famous Billiken statue, known as the “God of Good Luck,” where touching its feet is believed to bring fortune.

The surrounding Shinsekai area enhances the experience with its vibrant street food scene, neon lights, and old-school charm, making Tsutenkaku Tower not just a sightseeing spot, but a cultural journey into Osaka’s past and present.
