We will later visit their homesteads, learn about their ways of life, medicinal plants and much more. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Its huge population of predators is another big draw card to this picturesque crater. Supported by a year-round water supply and fodder, this breathtaking oasis provides a haven for both predator and prey to live among grasslands. After game drives, drive to the camp for the overnight.

The park has a massive but shallow soda lake located at the foot of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment. The varied habitat attracts a wide variety of animals, including one of Africa’s largest concentrations of elephants, Manyara’s unique tree-climbing lions, as well as large flocks of flamingos. Manyara is a scenic gem, with a setting extolled by Ernest Hemingway as “the loveliest I had seen in Africa”. From the entrance gate, along the roadside, blue monkeys scamper nimbly between the ancient mahogany trees, dainty bush buck tread warily through the shadows, and out sized forest horn bills honk cacophonous in the high canopy. After game drives, drive to Lake Natron for the overnight.

  • Accommodation: Not included

Later during the day visit the Engaresero waterfall, by hiking through the steep gorges that lead to this amazing waterfall where there is a plunge pool where you can swim. After a long day of exploring this remote land, start your journey back to your hotel in Arusha.
