Visit Quinta da Corrieira, a small family-run winery located just 10 km from Lisbon city centre, and discover one of Portugal’s rarest wine styles: Carcavelos.
During this guided visit, you’ll walk through the vineyards and winery and learn how Carcavelos wine is made — from native grape varieties to the traditional long barrel ageing that gives this historic fortified wine its distinctive character.
The experience includes a guided tasting of at least 3 wines, featuring: Local Lisbon table wines and the fortified Carcavelos wines, the specialty of the region.
Tours are led by an experienced wine guide or one of the owners themselves. As a small winery welcoming small groups, the experience is personal, relaxed, and informative.
Founded in the late 1970s, Quinta da Corrieira is dedicated to preserving the Carcavelos wine tradition. Today, it is run by the Lewerentz family, who moved to Portugal eight years ago to continue this unique winemaking heritage.
