    After a comprehensive safety briefing and training session, climb aboard your own 400cc automatic 4WD quad bike and set off across more than 20km of exclusive trails through Queenstown's high country terrain.

    From easier tracks for first-time riders to more challenging terrain for confident riders, your experienced guide tailors the adventure to the ability of the group. Climb towards panoramic viewpoints with incredible vistas across Queenstown, the surrounding mountains and lakes.

    With approx 2-2.25 hours on your quad, there's plenty of time to tackle the trails, enjoy the scenery and experience genuine Queenstown off-road adventure.

Know before you book

    • Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
    • All riders must be at least 16 years old, weigh under 150 kgs and have a good command of the English language. For safety reasons, customers who are unable to communicate effectively in English are not permitted to participate in this tour.
    • Operates in most weather conditions; tours may be altered or cancelled if conditions are unsafe.
    • A minimum of 2 passengers is required to confirm departure. On NZ statutory holidays, a minimum of 4 passengers applies. If minimum numbers are not met, an alternative departure or a full refund will be offered.
    • The main departure point is Nomad Safaris, 37 Shotover Street, Queenstown, with complimentary pick-up and drop-off available from Frankton Bus Hub or Tucker Beach Reserve. If you have your own vehicle, free parking is available at 420 Tucker Beach Road which is close to our Quad base. Let us know if you are going to meet us there.
    • Quad biking is a physically demanding activity requiring a reasonable level of physical strength and confidence. Riders of smaller stature or slight build may be at greater risk of an accident. All guests receive a safety briefing and basic quad bike training before departure. Our guides assess each rider’s ability, confidence and physical suitability to operate a quad bike safely. If a rider does not meet the required safety standards, they will not be permitted to continue riding. Where possible, an alternative such as riding pillion (as a passenger) with a guide may be offered, subject to availability and safety considerations.
    • A valid credit/debit card is required when you check in, otherwise you can not participate in the trip and there will be no refund. In the event of an accident, we may charge up to $2,500 to cover any damage, repairs or insurance excess.
