Know before you book

  • Maximum group size is 5-6 people. Weight dependant.
  • You must make your own way to the meeting point on Mount Cook Road near Glentanner Aerodrome.
  • You will receive confirmation of your exact flight time when you call to confirm your reservation.
  • Check-in is 30 minutes prior to the booked tour start time.
  • Flights, landings and routes may vary due to weather and at the pilot’s discretion. Flight times are approximate and include your landing.
  • Infants up to 3 years and under 15kgs are Free of Charge and are required to sit on an adults knee.
  • Children are 4 - 14 years or an infant weighing over 15kgs.
  • Children must be accompanied by a fare paying adult.

What you can expect

Take to the skies for a look at the spectacular scenery of the mountain range that dominates the interior of New Zealand's South Island. Your flight gives you unobstructed views of the region's most incredible sights, from the slopes of Aoraki/Mount Cook to the spectacular Hochstetter Icefall.

After taking off from the heliport near Lake Pukaki, your helicopter flies past the rugged face of the Tasman Glacier to show you the rocky icefall of the Hochstetter Glacier. Get a look at the eastern face of Aoraki/Mt Cook and the upper Tasman Glacier before the helicopter takes you down for an alpine landing, giving you a chance to take in the fresh mountain air and take that photo of a lifetime.
