What you can expect

Jetboating is Alaskans favorite way to explore AK's extensive glacial rivers. Blue Ice Jetboating takes it over the top boating upstream thru the braids and rapids to Spencer Glaciers icebergs and Glacier face.

We handle every detail: top-tier jetboats, extra gear, light snacks and seasoned guides who know Alaska’s rivers like the back of their hand.

Activity itinerary

Embark on a unique jetboat adventure on a wild river to Spencer Glacier's calving face, where icebergs fill the lake. Our jetboats, designed for New Zealand's glacier waters, are perfectly suited for Alaska's extreme rivers. Your adventure begins at the Placer Overflow parking area along the Seward Highway, where we'll equip you with personal flotation devices for the upriver cruise. Stunning mountain, river, and glacier scenery surrounds you as the river twists through braided, rapid, and rocky sections. Entering Spencer Lake reveals massive icebergs, which we'll approach for a closer view. Cruise by the glacier's face to observe and listen as Spencer Glacier drips, moans, and calves. The return trip is just as exciting as we gain the river's speed through the twists and turns.
