2 Days Trekking Itinerary:
Day 1:
Begin the day with breakfast before departing Pokhara in a 4-wheel off-roading vehicle. It takes 2-4 hours to reach Upper Ulleari, depending on traffic, season, and viewpoint stops. Ulleari is a beautiful Gurung village at an altitude of 2,090 meters. From the last station of Upper Ulleari, start the real Poon Hill trek, crossing the villages of Banthanti, Nangithanti, and Lower Ghorepani. Stop for lunch either in Banthanti or Nangithanti. Reach the Ghorepani camp at the base of Poon Hill at an altitude of 2,860 meters. Dinner and overnight in a cottage.
Day 2:
Before sunrise, hike 45-60 minutes to Poon Hill at a height of 3,210 meters. Be mesmerized by the colors and panoramic views of the surrounding Himalayas. On clear days, you can see up to 32 peaks including the 12 peaks of the Bhara Shikhar. Return to camp for a hot breakfast and begin the trek down following the same trail. Return to the 4x4 for drop-off at your hotel in Pokhara.
Itinerary: 3-day trek to Ghorephani and Poon Hill
Day 1: Pokhara → Nayapul → Ulleri (2,070m)
Begin with a scenic drive from Pokhara to Nayapul, taking about an hour. Trek along riverside trails and terraced fields to Tikhedhunga before tackling the famous stone staircase climb to
Ulleri. At 2,070m, Ulleri offers traditional Gurung culture and stunning mountain charm. you’ll spend the night in Ulleri village, enjoying the Gurung culture and mountain charm.
Day 2: Ulleri → Ghorepani (2,860m)
After breakfast, continue your ascent through lush rhododendron forests and oak-covered hills. The trek lasts about five to six hours, gradually opening up to magnificent views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. By late afternoon, you’ll reach Ghorepani at 2,860m, a picturesque mountain village. Here you’ll settle into a cozy lodge for the night, surrounded by crisp mountain air and panoramic scenery.
Day 3: Ghorepani → Poon Hill → Nayapul → Pokhara
Rise early for a hike to Poon Hill (3,210m), taking about two to three hours, to witness the legendary sunrise over Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre, and surrounding peaks. After soaking in the views, return to Ghorepani for breakfast before beginning the long descent to Nayapul (1,070m) in roughly five to six hours. Conclude your adventure with a drive back to Pokhara (820m), where you’ll spend the night resting after your trek.
