Activity itinerary

Palma de Mallorca (Pass by)
Our Tour begins in Camí de la Escollera in front of the Cathedral of Palma at around 09:15 hrs. Palma was founded as a Roman camp upon the remains of a Talaiotic settlement. The city was subjected to several Vandal raids during the fall of the Western Roman Empire, then reconquered by the Bizantine Empire, then colonised by the Moors (who called it Medina Mayurqa) and, in the 13th century, by James I of Aragon.
Banyalbufar
  • 10m
The original name Banyalbahar comprises two different components, both of Arabic origin: banya (constructed) and bahar. Banya derives from the name of a Moorish settlement established on the island in the 10th century. The original meaning of Banyalbufar is, therefore, "founded by the sea". Following the Catalan conquest of Majorca in 1229, Banyalbufar came under control of Gilabert de Cruilles and Ramon sa Clusa. During the Middle Ages and up until the 15th century, the valley was ruled under a practically absolutist government, the Barony of Banyalbufar. The baron maintained the civil and criminal jurisdiction over the entire population. The inhabitants of Banyalbufar devoted themselves almost exclusively to agriculture. Fishing remained merely a secondary industry. Produce included wheat, barley, pulses, olives, flax, hemp, saffron and, above all, wine. The local Malvasier grape was highly prized. After a long period of decline, there are now efforts to revive this fruit.
Estellencs
  • 15m
Estellenchs is the town with the least population of the entire island, and the municipality also with the least census, just over 300 inhabitants. Although in the summer time it exceeds 450. The municipality is located between Andrach and Bañalbufar, towns to which it is linked by a single road that borders the Sierra de Tramontana. During winter, and due to the difficulty of access, it is usually one of the first towns on the island to be cut off when there are storms, due to rockfalls on the road that cut off the passage.
Binissalem (Pass by)
It is located in the center of the island of Mallorca and belongs to the Raiguer region
Sineu (Pass by)
Sinéu is located in the heart of the island of Mallorca. Sinéu is one of the towns in Mallorca with the largest number of restaurants, bars and cafes in relation to the population of the municipality. In 2004, Sinéu had 37 catering establishments.
Casa Museo Els Calderers
  • 30m
  • Admission ticket included
Our route follows the history of Mallorcan life and culture, visiting Els Calderers, an 18th century estate reflecting rural life in Mallorca. Formerly, dedicated to agriculture and livestock, the basis of the Balearic economy. Today, converted into a museum, we will be able to see furniture, customs and clothes of the time.
