Explore one of Ecuador’s most stunning volcanic landscapes on this private full-day adventure to Antisana Volcano. Discover dramatic gorges, high-altitude wetlands, and rare Andean wildlife in a breathtaking natural setting.

Depart Quito early and travel through the foothills of Antisana. Stop at a small village near the base before entering Hacienda Antisana, where you’ll admire the volcano’s towering basaltic gorge. Continue into the páramo ecosystem, home to tundra plants, Andean rabbits, and white-tailed deer. Keep your eyes on the sky for a chance to spot the majestic Andean condor.

Hike to a viewpoint overlooking the Antisana glacier, then drive to Micacocha Lake, a serene spot frequented by Andean gulls, speckled teals, and other highland birds. Your guide will introduce you to the unique flora of the region, including cushion plants, gentians, and ranunculus, before returning to Quito in the late afternoon.
