The Inn is a truly beautiful place, inside and out, with hiking trails starting on the property. Immaculate inside and out. Gracious hosts, Karen and Mick made each person feel special. A wonderful experience.

Karen and Mick, owners of the inn, are wonderfully, warm people and make you feel like part of their family. Everything about our stay was positive, from the most comfortable featherbed, delicious homemade breakfast to the gorgeous gardens and pond. We will be back!

Caring innkeepers
Mick and Karen are like family. In the best ways possible. I was jet lagged and they made sure to leave food out for when I woke up early. That's the kind of care you won't get in any other other bed and breakfast and certainly not in a hotel chain. My son and I had a fabulous trip here - the skiing is great at Sugarbush (just a couple of miles down the road). We plan to be back!

Great property next to the heart of Waitsfield. Breakfast was excellent and Mick and Karen were fantastic host! We felt like a part of the family while we were there.

Wow! Love this B&B, couldn't have been better
Such an amazing historic yet beautiful and clean rooms and cottages and the food is five star! The owners Mick and Karen go out of there way to make your stay perfect and even have delicious cookies in the evening and guests can goto common family room in front of fire to share there day with others, have tea and cookies, play fuss-ball or one of there many games. Great location as well and so much to do in all seasons in the area. A true gem I will be going back to. Picts are of making the largest Guinness record book Smore at festival end of December and the adorable little mouse that has been in the main house staircase for decades. Wish I had taken picts of B&B as it is so charming and I was lucky enough to be sleeping on a feather bed with a lace canopy and lace comforter her great grandmother had knit and room in the cottage was so spacious yet warm and cozy.

Liked... the owners were brand new; never ran a bed and breakfast before and were only doing it for 3 weeks. the place was excellent and our hosts performed for a large crowd as if they'd been doing it for years. the crowd was friendly and our hosts were very accommodating. the breakfasts were very good; we really enjoyed the entire experience.

Don’t miss out on a delightful stay!
The inn was recently sold and we had the opportunity to meet the current owners as well as the new owners. Absolutely some of the nicest people in the hospitality business! The house and the surrounding area is beautiful. Enjoyed our limited stay and wish we could have stayed longer.

If you want to stay in a decent quiet area this is the place for you. Tom and Linda are welcoming and friendly...awesome experience with them. We even checked in early which was great!Thank you so much.

True North families will find this place SO incredibly healing. It’s prettier than the pictures show. The beds are amazing. Breakfast is delicious. Linda is the perfect balance of present but not imposing at all. I normally am not a fan of bed and breakfasts but Linda May have changed my mind. Rather I’ll return to Feather Bed Inn for sure :). She mentioned her pony recently passing and being in process of finding another equine companion and I look forward to see who she picks when I return. Personally I travel a lot for business so having the animals helps curb the homesickness. When I stayed she only had her dog and outside cat, but they were perfect.

Quaint Vermont warmth
We stayed three nights to ski over a beautiful weekend. Our hosts were wonderful, as was our room. Breakfasts were delicious and delivered with a smile. We enjoyed their many pets (2 cats, 2 dogs, and a horse, none of whom are allowed in the guest rooms or dining room, of course). *Very* minor issues to be aware of: 1) it's an old house (1806?) so it can be a bit creaky and you may hear your neighbors overhead; 2) it is on a main road, so there was a tiny bit of road noise - not a problem for us in winter, but might be more of an issue if you plan to have windows open or spend time outside; and 3) breakfast was served at 8:00, 8:30, or 9:00 -- it would have been nice to have an earlier breakfast option to allow one to get to the slopes earlier without having to skip breakfast. None of these issues was a major problem for us (thus 5 stars), but others might have different priorities.

This is a cozy, family owned and family operated Inn. The house is very clean and homey. Linda and Tom cook different style of breakfast every day for their guests, includes beautifully arranged fruit cup. The bed is comfortable and the location is good, less than 10 minutes to Sugarbush Ski Resort. However, guests are not allowed to use kitchen, refrigerator and microwave; no TV in bed room or living room, that will cause inconveniences, particular in the relatively remote place where there are no many restaurants, shopping and entertainment.

We had a slight misunderstanding with the inn owner on arrival as he expected us the next day then he checked again and saw he was mistaken, an awkward start. Another surprise was the notice at the doorway to the stairs that led to the sleeping accommodations upstairs which warned clients to close the doorway to the stairs as the family cats could quickly run up the stairs and lay on the feather beds. This was very disconcerting to my wife as she is allergic to cats. The animals that were in the main lounge area had a smell of wet dogs and cats forcing my wife to stay in the bedroom, as her allergies to cats made it impossible to relax downstairs. The information on the website listed with hotels.com should have included that for review! Our breakfast was supposed to be a full breakfast which to me means a menu with a selection between several choices. Instead after a fruit salad out came some pancakes with bacon without asking us what we wanted. Although the inn owner was nice I feel his ability to deliver some professional hospitality needed some brushing up.

Lovely Inn
My husband & I recently spent three nights at the Featherbed Inn. Our room was lovely and had an ensuite bathroom. The bed had a feather topper which made it very comfortable & cosy to sleep on. There was a delicious cooked breakfast each morning. Tom & Linda are very hospitable hosts. The Inn is located just out of Waitsfield & made a good base for us to explore the surrounding towns. We would definitely recommend this Inn to anyone considering staying there.

Cozy Inn in a Beautiful Location
Only stayed here one night but would've loved to have more time to stay another night. The room was great and the owners were very friendly and helpful when we were looking for a place to eat. The view from the property was amazing. Loved the small town atmosphere and per recommendation, went to a local bar/restaurant for taco night. The breakfast at the Inn was delicious. 10/10 would stay here again.

Lovely stay! We absolutely adored !
Wonderful experience, thanks to Tom and his very kind wife who made us feel very welcome. As soon as we entered the place it smelled like sugar pie, delicious aroma in the wonderful house! What a beautiful little place, cozy beds, delicious breakfast, 5 min drive from Sugarbush mountain. We also enjoyed the fireplace and the lovely dog and cat. The owners even offered us with recommendations for dinner not too far away, and a nice brewery where we stopped on our way back to Canada. Wish we stayed more ! Thank you for your true kindness and hospitality! :)
