Pictures are misleading. Hallway carpets are old and smelly. Beds are the most uncomfortable beds. You’re literally sleeping on springs. Lobby smells upon entering. Which I hated everytime I had to walk thru it. What upset me the most is the misleading wheelchair accessible advertisement. We had to carry our father over the steps 2 different locations before we can enter the elevator that has no sensor when a person was entering or not. It would close on us a few times and was very painful. Asking for new sheets or toilet paper was a pain. The front desks workers are very sweet but hearing the owner/manager yelling and screaming at them was a turnoff. Wi-fi was a total joke. We will never return. It’s an inconvenient location too on a busy road.

Only small issue I had was that the breakfast was not on my booking with the hotel. They quickly checked and fixed the problem. Also the bathroom (wet room) was very small in the standard room. Okay for skinny people. .

It is old and tired. The photos on the web site must have been taken 20 years ago. It is nice and quiet and I got a good nights sleep. This is due to its location. Unfortunatly, the taxi fares requested by the hotel for general running around was expensive. To finish on a positive note, the staff were super friendly and really helpful. 2 out of 10 for the property. 10 out of 10 for the staff.

No water pressure or enough water for a shower
There was a gecko in the bathroom and the window wasn’t able to close completely to prevent them from entering the room. The water pressure was terrible in the bathroom. I had to take a shower using drips of water.

Nothing Special !
Too far away from restaurants , stores , etc . Transportation cost by cab or tuk tuk exceeds daily rent cost at hotel . Five dollars for breakfast is absurd ! A total rip off for a guest . I'm a 78 year old handicapped person , so the location for me was the number one problem .

Dear guests, hello, first of all, thank you for taking the time to comment on our hotel. The first question you mentioned is that the hotel is too far from the restaurant and the store. Our hotel has a restaurant on the left of the 100-meter traffic light and a supermarket on the right. The second question: the cost of transportation by taxi or tuk tuk is high. This is the price of a Vientiane taxi or tuk tuk, I am sorry that our hotel cannot decide this price. The third question: Five dollars for breakfast is expensive. However, the hotel's breakfast has Chinese and Western food, rice, fruit, milk and other foods, and different foods are available every day. Finally, consider your old age. We will do our best to serve you.

Homely little stay
Lovely staff - very helpful and spoke good English. Close to some of the temples and not far from main area for bars etc. Good air con! Only cons - slightly hard bed and can be noisey when busy.

Great value
Great value hotel and really nice staff. They were super helpful with anything we needed. The only drawback was that it wasn’t as central as I had thought. But they had mopeds to rent at the hotel so it was quite quick to get into town with those.

2 square metres Small Toilet
It is no way a four stars hotel as shown on the website, the hotel needs to be refurbished and the location is far away from the city centre. I was shocked while I entered the room, the toilet is so so so tiny! It is just 2 square meters big and there’s no partition between the shower and the toilet bowl, meaning that the toilet bowl and all the floor gets wet after taking a shower! Size and photos of such small toilets are not shown on the website but while I left comments to the hotel regarding the size of the toilet, the hotel kept arguing that it is printed on the website! My recommendation is not to book this hotel, it’s far away from the city centre and it’s too hot to walk there. Furthermore, I commented to the hotel that it’s location is not convenient, they replied that it’s not and there’s a private tuk tuk waiting at their front door especially for their guests, which is not true again. When I asked their staff how to go to a temple, they just told me they could help to call a taxi or I can catch any tuk tuk on the street! It’s unprofessional at all to argue with guests while they leave valuable comments, it’s even worst to provide feedback that’s not true for protection, it just makes your guests angrier.

Hello! Thank you for staying with us. CBH is at the city and business center indeed, located in the middle of That Luang Temple and the Victory Gate, which is the sign of Vientiane. It's very convenient to go to governments and big banks near around, such as: Lao Ministry of Prime Ministry, UN, ICBC and others. And, from our hotel to Mekong night market, only need 5 mins by tuktuk. We also have a tuktuk always stand by, no need to wait for calling service. All room sizes are shown on the website. Comfortable, polite staff but very hot.
Service is good. Staff at reception are polite and helpful. Air con could be improved as rooms were very hot, bed is comfortable. Bathroom is satisfactory. They upgraded our room which was nice. We had one issue with hotel taxi driver, we paid 50000 Kip already and had 20000 left but when our taxi driver dropped us off he demanded extra money and threw our money on the floor and was shouting and being aggressive, we phoned reception and the gentleman at reception explained we had already paid a portion of the money so we sorted it but was not good service in that respect so avoid hotel taxi driver

Generally good; couple of points to note
The hotel was generally fine: room as expected, staff helpful etc. I've rated only 3* because there was load hotel related work going on outside close to my window which woke me up earlier than I wanted both mornings. A couple of other minor points to note: i. I know there is a location map but 'central' is misleading: it's not close to where most attractions are ii. They don't have tourist maps of the city in reception, which would be useful; although they did helpfully print off a google map for me so I could find my way around

Neither central nor boutique
This place is not central. It's 30-40 minute walk to the centre. It's not near anything really, no restaurants around. The room is ok. The mattress is hard but it was good for my back. There's many rude guests who leave their room doors open with loud tv or music or loud conversations and smoke so the whole building stinks of smoke. The hotel should have a policy about keeping doors shut and should have non smoking floors.

Their online ad. states that the hotel in near the Thai embassy...IT IS NOT,,,it's a blatant lie.Therefore it cost me extra money to and from the embassy...and they know this very well... No restaurant...just out in the boondocks!

Nice place for a couple of nights
Very nice hotel within walking distance to the center park/monument. Not very close to many restaurants. It is close to the Thai embassy but not to the Thai consulate which is where you get your visas. So if you’re making a visa run just know that you will need to take a taxi or tuk tuk to the consulate. Overall very clean and great service!

Good Value for Money
The hotel is fine for a couple of days, it's not particularly centrally located to the main attractions in Vientiene. We walked in and out of town every day but that's because the weather was lovely and we are avid walkers. It might be a little trickier if you didn't enjoy walking or were unable to walk. In any case the staff are friendly and helpful, they are mostly Chinese and not Lao (not that that made a difference to us!). Overall I'd say it's good value for money but be prepared to add transport costs to your stay as you're likely to need a taxi or a tuk tuk to get to and from the city centre.

Great hotel for 3 people
One of the few hotels that didn’t charge extra for a third person in the room. They even gave us a room with 2 bedrooms which I didn’t ask for. The price also included breakfast. Not a cheap hotel but certainly a good value.

A very nice hotel with a great staff
The staff at this hotel were excellent. They always greeted you coming and going and asked how your day was. They arranged a driver to take me to some of the sites in town but the hotel is located within walking distance of many of these sites. I had a very enjoyable stay. Would recommend to stay there.

Small hotel definitely not to expected level in Laos. Our bed had no mattress, only the box bed. Previous people had smoke in the room. Hôtel is older than pictures are showing. Staff overall did not seem to care.

Maybe because our stuff did not want to didturb you of any reason. we are so sorry for the mattress, some geuest in our hotel like to sleep with the strong mattress, the strong matress does not make you have a back pain, but the very soft mattress can cause you have a back pain and it is true sir, I use to sleep with a soft mattress and after i wake up I have a back pain and very pain. There was a lovely Filipino lady on reception
And not far from the old part of town 10 minutes in a took took Hotel staff spoke good English and Chinese place in place and some of the guests were a bit noisy in the morning slamming doors talking in corridors maybe some hall runners to dampen the noise might be good overall I would stay there again nothing was too much trouble

Fantastic service.
A really nice hotel with fantastic staff. They were constantly helpful and always with a smile. The local area had everything you need when it comes to restaurants and shops. We will recommend the hotel to anyone who is going to Vientiane.

Great value for money
Great budget hotel with clean room and good amenities. Very friendly and helpful staff. Only downside is it is located far from main attraction meaning you require a taxi to go anywhere. Overall, great value for money.

Service with a ready smile.
Central Boutique hotel is conveniently located away from the noise and hustle and bustle but just the right walking distance to enjoy dining and sights. The single room is a comfortable with a large enough bed. The main selling point of the hotel for me is the staff. Rose and the guys and gals at reception either take their jobs seriously or at just great at customer service. Friendly staff
The big plus of this hotel is the hotel staff and the owner of the hotel Allen. Allen went out of his way to arrange for a medical appointment for our daughter in Vientiane. He was very approachable and was helpful. The exterior of this hotel is colonial but the interior is fairly new with big rooms. The breakfast staff were friendly. I was hoping for a more western breakfast with decent coffee. However, it is complimentary breakfast so one can only take what's given. There was a power outage at the hotel when we were there. I would suggest that the hotel equip with emergency supplies such as flash lights for guests to use. Overall, a fairly decent hotel.

The hotel is clean, comfortably spacious for a standard room budget hotel. it's in town center and next door of the hotel has nice kebab meal.

Run down and sad little hotel - not central at all, so don't fall for the trap of the hotel's name. Boutique is also a bit of a misnomer. VERY overpriced for what it is. Far better hotels in the central area of Vientiane are available.

Dear guest, Our hotel is in the heart of Vientiane next to Patuxay and Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Mistakenly all tourists thinks that central area is next to Mekong but it's not.it's tourist zone. Before booking you saw our hotel description, you saw pictures and map. We are Honest Hotel and we are fair to all our guest and there is no traps. Good condition and perfect service
Some of my friends recommended me this hotel, which is just one block away from the Victory Gate (heart of capital city) and 5 mins to Mekong River. I went to Laos before, many other hotels only have Lao staffs, but the staffs in this hotel can speak very good English, French, Russian and they are really really kind and helpful! Made me feel so happy! Plus, there is a Korean Fried Chicken restaruant near by and authentic Korean food also just one block away. Room is new, clean, nice, comfortable and only cost 30 dollars (other hotels in Vientiane with the same level normally cost more than $50 per night). I give them thumbs up!

Overall nice hotel and a pleasant stay!
A nice new hotel with good location, very close to the Victory Gate, Thai Embassy and big banks. Only 5 mins by tuk-tuk to Meikong river where I had great dinner and night shopping. The staffs are so friendly and helpful, always smile to everyone. All staffs speak good English, and I heard some of them speaking French, Chinese and Japanese. That really amazed me! Rooms are new and clean, housekeepers made a lovely bird with towels. Breakfast was also nice, with both Westen and Easten style, fresh vegetable and fruits. Lao coffee is also tasty...

Friendly, Clean and quiet hotel! Would stay again!
We only stayed one night, but my husband and I found this hotel quite charming and super friendly. The staff was helpful in directing us around the area and getting a driver when necessary. Breakfast was basic, but good and had all we needed. Wifi was a bit slow, but we didn't have work or anything to do that required high speed. Not much of a view. The room was clean and spacious for the two of us. We would definitely stay there again!

A hidden gem in the heart of downtown Vientiane
Man, man, man! What a surprise, a hidden gem located in the heart of Vientiane. I was trying to find a reasonably priced, comfortable hotel room, that is close to everything in Vientiane; instead of booking typical hotels, I took an adventure by trying out something local, and I did not regret a bit. After a long transpacific journey, we were greeted by the friendly and welcoming hotel staff at the front lobby. To my surprise, the staff spoke good English, and some of them understand Chinese, probably due to the businessmen around country. The room was clean, quiet and seems like it was just renovated, the window opens up to the oriental story-line, we found our serenity here. After a thirst-quenching Beer Lao, it came with the Laos delicacy, be aware, it could be hot for people who do not like spicy food. Laos is a very safe country, I think it has a lot to do with the local Buddhism beliefs, it is so rewarding to see people lives happily without dependency on the materials. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who would like to make a quick visit to Vientiane, or seeking for best bang for the buck, and yes, I would stay here again if there is future opportunities to stop by in the country.
