My son and I had a good time vacationing to Mentone Alabama. There were so many things to do and see! The Oak was decorated beautifully, thank you for having us and also being quick to respond to questions that we had.

We enjoy going to Mentone in the fall. We usually take our camper to Desoto State Park. This year we decide to get a cabin and we were not disappointed. This was a lovely spot with beautiful woods all around.
Lorene and her team are super!

We originally booked a different unit but switched to the top floor (Whispering Pines), and it was definitely the right call. The screened-in porch had a great view—perfect for morning coffee, deep thoughts, and pretending we’re outdoorsy.
The host was super responsive, even when a storm (with possible tornadoes!) was predicted. They offered to move us to a lower floor for peace of mind, but the apartment felt sturdy, so we stayed put and enjoyed the view while the weather did its thing.
Brow Park and DeSoto Falls were close by, making it easy to get out and explore before retreating back to our peaceful little hideaway. It was a great spot for my husband’s birthday, and we’d definitely stay again!

We enjoyed our stay at The Oak. It was well appointed with everything we needed. The bed is like sleeping on a super soft pillow. If there are children staying above you, excited about being on vacation, you will certainly know it from the jumping and running. Parking is adequate assuming everyone follows the parking instructions.

Lorraine was so helpful and excellent. When there was misunderstanding which room we had. She gave us the bigger property with hardly anything ore out of pocket. We plan on staying again and regularly.
Loved the location.
