Urubamba Province

Cusco Region

So this is not really a tip as I'm sure everyone knows this location. Think of it more as me trying to encourage all of you who haven't been there already to go and see this magnificent place with your own eyes. It truly is a wonder of the world!

A few things to keep in mind though. First of all, there are a limited number of entry tickets per day so it's essential to book ahead. Also, to maximize your chances of getting some nice weather on your visit you should come during winter (summer in the northern hemisphere) but be prepared for some cold nights. #goldenhour

Urubamba Province
This is an interesting and fun trip combined with visiting Moray nearby ( I recommend Moray first). We started at the market at the top and bought some Maras salt to take home, then we walked the entire rim of the salt mines...wear grippy shoes as the path is narrow in places. Then we followed the path down to the bottom of the canyon, around the side of the mountain to your right, crossed the bridge which was where our driver picked us up. Probably a 2 mile hike.
