Location, location, location! Direkt an der Altstadt/Fußgängerzone gelegen, saubere Zimmer, gutes Frühstück, passendes Preis/Leistung-Verhältnis. Check-in/out war ein bisschen holprig aber das kommt mal vor. Und das kleine Einzelzimmer war genial, super gemütlich, und sehr ruhig.

The hotel was very convenient for trams to Ulm University and to the Airport. The room suited my needs very well. The breakfast was good. It might have been nice if the bar were open at all. But all in all a very nice hotel

Central to Saar Louis
The hotel is on one of the town squares in the middle of the city. Recommend reserving parking, which comprises a couple of spots in the parking lot behind the hotel. Access to the hotel is often only from the back entrance. The staff were exceptionally friendly! The hotel could probably use a renovation. The wall paper in the room was peeling, but otherwise the room hotel was nice. No elevator available.

Great location and value. Underground garage (elevator!). Breakfast buffet was fine but former restaurant/cafe/bar not yet operating again (vending machine). Shortcomings: cramped shower; cable TV service not functioning when we were there. General complaint wherever we've been: showers for non-handicapped rooms need hand-holds!

Great value and location
The Centro Hotel Stern is a great value in a great location, not far from the Ulm Munster Church and plaza. Many restaurants nearby. My room showed wear, but was clean and had everything I needed, thus it was a great value. The breakfast was exceptional, well worth the extra fee. I was also able to park my car underground for an extra fee. Staff was helpful. Very happy with my stay.

Upon arrival around 5 pm, I was greeted by having to wait over 10 minutes for a staff member to appear to check me in. I was in a single room so it was small, but cozy, could hear a lot of outside noise as I was on the second floor. Breakfast was pretty good, had hot and cold food, the restaurant served dinner as well, but I personally wasn't impressed with the menu. The location was good, just a 5 minute walk from the train station and close to the city center for easy access to shopping and other restaurants. Overall, a good stay, not sure if I would stay there again or try another place.

Without internet it is impossible to stay here
Wifi was too poor and I was also not having a sim card. The hotel staff was very cooperative and only because of there help I was able to find and register the sim card. Whenever you plan to visit ulm, don't go without a working sim-card having internet

This is the second time, I stayed at this hotel. Centro Hotel Stern has two properties: the original Hotel Stern, and the new Centro Boutique 005. During both stays, the staff was friendly, and the breakfast superb for my taste. Both times we stayed in the Centro Hotel Stern house. The first time, I had a single room with a little balcony which was clean and alright for the price. The second time, we had a family room. The beds were alright and clean. The carpet desperately needed a cleaning. The toilet (separate from the sinks and shower) had a weird smell when the ventilation wasn't running. The windows were noise insulated, but we had to keep them open because of the heat. There happened to be an overnight road construction at the nearby intersection. The shutters were either missing or broken, and the curtains not light blocking, so there was a constant room illumination from the street lights. We survived the two nights, but it wasn't a good night sleep. That said, I booked now in the new Boutique 005 house, because I really like the breakfast (and the restaurant has tasty German food for lunch and dinner).

This hotel has seen better days but it is still a great value. In the center of the city not far from railway station. Excelllent Service and breakfast. The only dropout was the tv (30 years old?) that is more suitable for trash and which I could not operate in spite of a page of instructions in both German and Englisch

Good location, close to the train station but far enough from the construction zone. Friendly and very efficient personnel, good and clean size room. Two beds close to each other instead of one, often happens. One of the two more used, the mattress of one was in a worse condition. The hotel is on a pedestrian street, good for temporary parking, to unload a car, but not far from a regular street (not as quiet as I hoped for when booked, but fine in the end, for a city centre hotel). Did not have time for breakfast, but the restaurant is conveniently located.

Ultimate Ulm value for Hotel with character!
We were very happy with the stay at Stern Hotel in Ulm. We loved the Breakfast Buffet, the warm and cozy environment, which had a feel for tradition successfully combined with contemporary touches. We chose it because it was advertised as family-owned, and it did prove to have more character/seemed less institutional and cold than other available hotels, especially for the price. Front desk help was accommodating and prompt, giving us quick and clear directions for parking, and kindly changing our room from 2 single beds to a double after the first night, when one came available. We chose the restaurant there for dinner over others in the area after checking menus, and were glad we did. We especially enjoyed the breakfast buffet and fresh assortment of pretzels every morning, along with the full spectrum of breakfast foods we have come to appreciate for European hotel breakfasts. This was no disappointment. There was a lot of noise from the street below from our second room which overlooked a main intersection and the entrance to the restaurant below which kept up until early morning hours, but otherwise we were very satisfied.

Great location and perfect if your a cyclist.
We enjoyed our stay and found the location was perfect. We were able to store our bikes in the garage. The breakfast was amazing (Loved the pretzels). The room was a good size and clean and comfortable.
