Great comfort and great fun with terrific convenience! I had the best time staying with Ernesto and Balkys. They have a comfy house in a characterful area of Trinidad just outside of the historical centre but within easy walking reach. The rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious and the house has a beautiful upstairs terrace with fantastic views over the old city to the Sierra Gorda beyond. I could not have asked for more entertaining or supportive hosts. The family is incredibly kind and provided all sorts of help. Ernesto is also a terrific chef and I would recommend staying for the food alone! Many thanks to you all and I will definitely stay again my next time in Trinidad. Hasta luego!

Lovely casa with incredible food!
We loved our stay with Ernesto and his family! The casa is in a good and quiet location, not too far from the bus station or the centre. There is a rooftop terrace where you can have cocktails and WiFi for an hour when you need. The highlight of our stay in Casa Mia was the food! Ernesto is an amazing chef. Make sure to have breakfast and dinner in the casa (the food in the centre of Trinidad isn’t great). Definitely get the roast chicken, it was unbelievable and the nicest dinner we had in Cuba. The breakfasts are also super fresh and plentiful. Would definitely stay here again

Very friendly and welcoming hosts. Spoke Spanish, English and French. Great food! Close to train station. Terrace on the roof. Would definitely recommend to everyone. Thank you for a lovely stay 😃

Think of this Casa as not so much a hostel, but an exclusive restaurant you can sleep at (and is very vegetarian friendly). We planned to stay only a couple of nights but ended up staying over a week due to the supreme hospitality we received from Ernesto and Belkis. They live their motto of ‘mi casa tu casa’ in the way they host their guests. We were given amazing breakfasts and dinners each day prepared by Ernesto who has worked as a chef in Italy! So if you are asked if you want dinner here, make sure you do as you will be treated to a variety of amazing dishes at very competitive prices. We stopped eating out in Trinidad as the food was soo good at the Casa! Ernesto was very accommodating of our vegetarian dietary requirements and was very creative with the fresh produce he has available. Although we are both vegetarian, from the look of the meals he offered omnivores when we stayed the meat dishes looked amazing, particularly the fish dishes fresh from the market. This Casa has generous multi layered rooftop lounges that look over the lovely Trinidad. Sit back in the rocking chair with one of Ernesto’s famous cocktails and watch the horses and carts, the bread man, the garlic man and many other locals walk by in true Cuban fashion. Don’t miss this treat of a Casa in the quaint ol place of Trinidad!

Fantastic!
We had a lovely stay at Casa Mia. Ernesto and Belki were wonderful hosts. Cocktails on the terrace were great. Breakfast and dinner were plentiful and well cooked. The room was large and a perfect temperature. The shower was powerful and hot water was abundant. I would recommend staying at Casa Mia

Absolutely amazing
The hosts were great, they make us fell at home. They explain us how to move around the city. And they are amazing cooker. We had dinner both nights there and they cook great meal giving us option of what we would like. First night we had lobster. Must try if you stay with them. They have a great terrace where to relax.

Perfect stay in Trinidad
We had an incredible time at Casa Mia, the house itself is great and very well located and Ernesto and Belkis are wonderful hosts, they were very kind and welcoming and made our stay in Trinidad much more enjoyable. Ernesto cooks delicious food, and his wife makes some tasty cocktails. We had our best breakfasts and one of our best dinner's in Cuba! The rooms were clean and nice, and the house has a very nice terrace/rooftop with some nice views, the perfect place to take a break and relax after a busy day. I definitely and strongly recommend Hostal Casa Mia for a say in Trinidad.

Nach einem totalen Reinfall mit einem Hotel in Varadero, wo wir schon am ersten Tag nach einer Alternative gesucht haben, entschieden wir uns aufgrund der super Bewertungen für das Hostel Mia Casa und reisten schon am nächsten Tag nach Trinidad. Das war die beste Entscheidung 😊 Ernesto begrüßte uns sehr herzlich und servierte uns einen köstlichen Willkomens-Cocktail. Es sollte nicht der einzige bleiben 😂. Wir fühlten uns vom ersten Moment an sehr wohl. Auch Ernestos Frau Belkys ist sehr herzlich und ihr liegt das Wohl ihrer Gäste sehr am Herzen. Wir bekamen jeden Tag ein reichhaltiges Frühstück. Auch ihre schmackhafte Pizza (die sie am eigenen Kiosk auf der Straße verkaufen) war ein Leckerbissen. Unser Zimmer war sehr heimelig und gemütlich. Das Haus war unsere Villa Kunterbunt während der Zeit in Trinidad und wir sind nach unseren Erkundungen in und um Trinidad immer sehr gerne zurückgekommen. Trinidad ist auf jeden Fall eine Reise wert mit seinen vielen bunten Häusern, der typischen Musik, der Nähe zum Meer und dem Regenwald mit den Wasserfällen.

Ernesto e Berkis sono 2 host fantastici! Appena arrivati a Trinidad dopo un viaggio faticoso ci hanno accolto a braccia aperte ed Ernesto ci ha addirittura preparato un ottima pizza (approvata per gli standard italiani!). La struttura fornita di internet libero, terrazza, aria condizionata in camera e tutto quello che serve per un buon soggiorno. Ci dispiace solo non esserci potuti trattenere di piu. Nous avons été très bien accueilli dans cet établissement. Les chambres et le bâtiment sont agréables, Ernesto parlant plusieurs langues, il est très aisé de se comprendre. L'hôtel se situe à 10 minutes à pieds du centre. 30 minutes en vélo du parc national el Cubano et 45 minutes en vélo de la péninsule d'Ancon. Possibilité de louer des vélos directement à l'hôtel pour 10€ la journée donc il peut être plus intéressant de comparer les prix sur Trinidad avant si besoin sur plusieurs jours. Possibilité de restauration sur place au tarif standard à Cuba ; 5€ le petit déjeuner.

Ernesto, sa femme Belkis, ainsi que la mama ont été d’un accueil incroyable ! Tout était parfait : belle maison de style colonial, grande chambre propre, douche avec pression, lit confortable, wifi gratuite. Ernesto et sa femme font tout pour vous aider dans toutes les démarches (change, réservation de taxi, conseils divers…). Cocktail et pizza d’accueil :) Super quartier, à seulement 5min à pied de la place principale de Trinidad. Le plus que l’on conseille : prendre le repas à la casa. Ce sont les meilleurs langoustes et accompagnements que nous avons mangé du séjour, et on a passé un super moment (Ernesto est cuisinier de métier). Rien à redire, un grand merci encore ! Ett fantastisk värdpar med mamma i köket. Fantastisk frukost och middag, vi åt 4 middagar och när strömmen gick en kväll så åkte grillen fram. Med detta värdpar och maten blev det en bra upplevelse i Trinidad. Skön terrass som man kan sitta en stund och koppla av.

In Casa Mua in Trinidad haben wir 3 Nächte verbracht und wurden vom Feinsten von den Besitzern betreut und verwöhnt! Unsere Wohnung lag auf der obersten Etage (auf dem Dach) ,was uns den Blick über die Stadt ermöglicht hat. Die Wohnung war einfach eingerichtet aber es war alles nötige da. Es wurde jeden Tag sauber gemacht. Die Besitzer Belkis und Ernesto sind herzensliebste Menschen -- hilfsbereit, freundlich, lustig!!! Den Abendessen in Casa Mia dürfen Sie sich nicht entgehen lassen!!! Superlecker👌👌👌👌 und die Cocktails von Ernesto -- ein Träumchen --zuckerfrei und Vitaminreich👍👍👍

Super accueil, propriétaires très sympas et de bons conseils. Le Monsieur parle français ce qui est agréable. La chambre est faite tous les jours, c’est propre. Dans la chambre que nous avions il n’y avait pas de coffre fort, et les fenêtres ne donnaient pas directement dans la rue. Clim et ventilateur. Super petits déjeuner. Cocktail de bienvenue offert :-) Attention pour les personnes qui ont des conditions physiques limitées car il y a un escalier un peu raide à monter pour y accéder et la casa sa trouve à 15/20 minutes à pieds du quartier touristique. Le quartier autour de la Casa est assez animé et on y trouve toutes les commodités (bars, restaurants, shops, point wifi, banque, vente cartes etecsa etc). Compter 4 CUC pour aller dans le centre touristique en taxi

Highlight dieser Unterkunft sind die Besitzer Ernesto und Belkys. Sie sind sehr gastfreundlich, herzlich und sehr hilfsbereit. Man fühlt sich sofort gut aufgehoben und sehr wohl. Das Frühstück und Abendessen war super lecker und Ernesto hat uns jeden Tag mit einem anderen Cocktail überrascht. Unser Favorit war der "Banana Mama". Zu Fuß ist man in 10-15 Minuten in der Altstadt von Trinidad, also genau das Richtige nach einem guten und reichlichen Abendessen :-). Wir können die Unterkunft nur wärmstens empfehlen und würden sie auf jeden Fall wieder buchen. Vielen Dank liebe Belkys und lieber Ernesto!!

Nice Casa with very dedicated owners!
The Casa Mia in Trinidad was a great hostel! The owners were super friendly, helpful and dedicated to make your stay as good as possible. I normally booked the room for 3 nights but i ve decided to stay longer cause Trinidad and especially the Casa were very familiar! Only my room which was located next to the kitchen and room for breakfast was very clairaudient and sensitive. But with earplugs who are always necessary on a backpack trip, it shouldn't be a problem!

Séjour très agréable
Casa très calme, très bon accueil, très bon rapport qualité prix avec des repas gargantuesques, à un prix dérisoire. Le repas complet avec de la langouste à 15 euros. Les patrons sont très accueillants, toujours à l'écoute. Monsieur parleun peu français. Je recommande

Die beiden Besitzer sind sehr freundlich und haben eine sehr herzliche Art. Das Essen war sehr gut und das Zimmer sauber und schön.

Super Casa !!!!!
Personnel super , l accueil parfait ! La casa est à 15mins à pied du centre pratique pour visiter !! La grand-mère fait très bien la cuisine ne pas hésitez à manger chez eux ,repas copieux et bon pour pas cher mieux que des resto conseillés par le Routard , idem pour le petit déjeuner pas besoin d’aller se fatiguer et d’aller loin!!! On recommande fortement :)
