Fantastic view, really nice breakfast
Nice clean rooms, fantastic view over Svendborgsund. Room had everything we needed for a stay-over including a corner to relax,- we stayed 3 adults, in a double room, towels for two only ( which seems to be a standard miss for most places, not a big problem). Breakfast was plenty of everything og very tasty, will stay again.

I paid for two rooms, and I asked to upgrade to a suite for the hole family. I was then charged extra even the fee on the web site was lower for a suite than two rooms. So I paid for two rooms plus an upgrade fee. This is not good customer service! For dinner we ordered the best white wine one the menu and the best red wine. The food was lower than average and the service was terrible. I am traveling a lot and know what good customer service is. This hotel service are not living up to a 3 star hotel....

Hotel Christiansminde June 2019
We stayed just 2 nights at Hotel Christiansminde. Our room was spacious but we were disappointed to find that we did not have a sea view! The restaurant however had lovely views over the water. Just about 20mins walk from Svendborg; we were able to eat at the local restaurants. The hotel provided free bikes and the ferry M/V Helge stopped at the hotel. The staff were friendly and breakfast was reasonable but there was a shortage of English Breakfast tea and no fruit on the first morning.

Unexpectedly negative experience
Our experience with this hotel was unexpectedly negative. Staff people are very nice, no complains. You can take bikes and have a ride for no fee. Breakfast is good. Very nice balcony with a great view on the bay. However, the rooms have reminded us student dormitories that were rebuilt/adapted as hotel. The entrance door that you open when you're actually outside the building lead you directly to the bedroom. You put your dirty shoes and hang your clothes just 30cm from your bed and the entrance door. The "children"'s room is actually a very small separate compartment where you can find a wardrobe and two-levels bed. There are no any stairs to get to the second floor bed! The "room" is so tight that two people can stand there only one after another. A special gratitude goes to the bathroom. Combined toilet + bathroom is always not nice, especially if someone has just used the toilet (remember -- the room is for 4 people!), but the size of the wash-basin was a real surprise! It is of a size that is usually installed in toilets. You cannot real use it for anything more than wash your hands. You cannot shave because the hairs drop around. There is no excuse for these drawbacks. We dis-recommend using these rooms for guests coming as more than couples. I cannot believe this hotel has got 4 stars, this is ridiculous.

Nice resort for a short summer break
We stayed here for a few nights in the summer. The hotel is in an excellent location on the sea front. There is a small beach, and a number of the rooms look out over the sea. The restaurant also has a good balcony so you can eat breakfast with a great view. The hotel has a good number of city bikes which you can hire for free to get around, or you can pay to hire mountain bikes if you are feeling more adventurous. We booked one of the Junior Suite rooms, which I would recommend as they have a lot more space than the standard rooms. The bedroom itself is quite basic and there is no aircon, but the living area is excellent. The room has a double bed and 2 bunk beds, which would be fine for younger kids but too crowded for teenagers. The kitchen area is very basic and you have to pay to hire pots and pans, so I would recommend bringing your own. The restaurant served some really good food, but there were only 3 mains and 3 starters to choose from so not a huge selection. Prices were reasonable when compared to other restaurants in Denmark. The location is the best thing about this hotel, but it's definitely a comfortable place to stay.

Very spacious room with sitting area, kitchen with microwave and refrigerator as well as everything necessary for eating in room, and a lovely patio outside that overlooks the water. Great breakfast buffet that was included also. Walking/biking paths go right by hotel and go for miles.....bikes available at the hotel.

We had a fantastic time, people were amazing and the hotel was very nice and the location was amazing, really good to relax and take a walk, also the view from the room was great! The bathroom was the only thing that wasn't that nice, but the rest was really good!

Nice place, very functional. The room had an extra bed in front and many pillows. It was clean and warm. The bed itself was a bit small, barely a double nearer to a full. Also, the cost was different on check out. Was quoted $119 when I booked and had to pay $148 on check out. I’m usually tuned in to extra charges but, felt a bit let down by this.

Not bad hotel
It was good location even no car license traveller and free of charge for the bike hire. I was lucky have second floor of the room so that I can have sea view but if I have double room that much better but it still comfortable with the 2 single bed. It seems no much choice for restaurant where I stay. Over all that is ok. I would be stay longer when I come back.

Pleasant Stay
Very pleasant hotel. Nice waterfront location. Easy walking distance into town. Friendly service and a great breakfast buffet. Room was a little cramped for 4, as the '+2 area' wasn't much bigger than a cupboard. Also, there were no working bikes for hire. Overall, a good place to stay in Svendborg. We would recommend it to friends.

Excellent hotel
The rooms were comfortable, near the beach and had a balcony to see the water. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They even arranged a meal for us though we arrived after the kitchen closed. Very nice breakfast buffet.

The room wAs lovely big and spacious, but lacked proper cleaning and was worn down. The breakfast was ok in selection but again cleaning and tidying up between guests was very poor, and the buffet was dirty.
