Money NOT Well Spent
Both bedrooms smell of old linens & mattresses and overall not pleasant Basement had a strong musty smell We ran fans & kept windows open Front entrance needs a light & railing. Impossible to see where to step in the dark. Lower Rear deck has a hole in it and also needs a proper railing. Kitchen & living room were okay. There is No Microwave, & the large couch is badly stained It was not worth the money.

A Beautiful Bay View
Staying at Cordial House for our first time visiting the island was the perfect location with a bay view! Christine has made the cottage a gem & has thought of everything to make her guests feel at home. Also our first ‘red clay’ road experience which we rather enjoyed, as well as the potato & other crops in the area being planted in that red soil. Cavendish beaches are so beautiful & just a short distance away. Summertime in PEI - thank you

Great stay close to everything.
We had a great time at Christine’s cottage. The view from the front room and deck could be on a postcard. It had everything we needed. The downstairs was an added bonus. With the dehumidifier it was dry, cool and comfortable. A nice touch was the parking pass for Cavendish Beach left in the front table for our use. Perfect for a couple, a couple with kids or two/three couples that want an excellent getaway. We are already talking of going back.

Beautiful calm
This location was epic. The window looking over the water was stunning. It made for awesome views from sunrise to sunset. And, with the outdoor lights and bonfire pit, Cordial House can be enjoyed at night, too! The cottage itself was stunning; every single item inside was thoughtfully placed. It was so quaint. A beautiful environment to make for a splendid stay. Nothing but beauty and calm!

Jewel box of design and solitude on PEI!
This was our first time visiting PEI (or Canada, for that matter), and it was entirely due to finding this rental on Instagram. Cordial House was even more beautiful and gracious than the photos and glowing recommendations of previous guests assured us it would be. The host, Christine, is not only an exceptional designer and an expert in the best that northern PEI has to offer, but also is extremely kind and attentive to any questions you might have about the property/area. The home provides an excellent home base for adventures to many beautiful beaches, shops, and restaurants - easily accessible to all of those, but also a place of quiet beauty and solitude for anytime you just want to sit and enjoy a gorgeous home away from home.

The cordial house was perfect for our ladies trip for the great Anne experience. The cabin was beautifully decorated and exuded charm and quirkiness. We loved spending our evenings eating dinner on the large deck and enjoyed the firepit as we watched the sun go down. Everyone is in love with this cute and fabulous cottage by the sea. We Were OBSESSED
I stayed here with a few friends for a weekend and we were completely blown away by the beauty of the place and attention to detail! The weather was awful but we were happy to stay inside and enjoy our lovely little home for the weekend. We brought our own food for all of our meals and we found the kitchen wasn't quite as stocked with dishes as we were expecting but Christine was super helpful and brought us what we needed right away. And it was a pleasure to cook in the beautiful space!! We would definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in a perfect place!

Cozy, wonderful stay on PEI!!
My partner and I simply adored the Cordial House!! Even visiting in the off season, there was plenty to keep us busy with the house location being literally next to a national park. We've stayed on PEI a few times and this so far was our favorite location- easy to jump out and explore either side of the island. The property itself was just stunning. Located on a little bluff on the water, the house stares directly at a bay skirted by the beautiful Cavendish Dunes. It was also bird-watcher's paradise! In our short April stay we saw mergansers, kingfishers, cormorants, eagles, woodpeckers, and even northern gannets!! The house was the epitome of coziness. We were obsessed with the comfortable couch and shag rug in the main room- perfect spot to hunker down on rainy days. We'd definitely rent again!

Cordial House is picture perfect. My wife and I stayed for a long weekend and wish we had booked a month. Christine has captured the platonic ideal of "cozy". Everything is designed to please the eye, the kitchen is fully equipped, and the couches are overstuffed and fluffy. Christine is an excellent host: generous, thoughtful, and easy to reach. The Perfect Staycation!
First of all, that VIEW! Cordial House was the perfect getaway for our short staycation. The space was gorgeous - so well curated but also incredibly cozy. We had everything we needed for our stay. Great location. Gracious host. Beautifully decorated with fabulous view from large living area. Lovely bedding and comfortable beds. Poorly functioning kitchen appliances.. Musty smelling lower level even with dehumidifier. Exterior of property not consistent with quality of interior, although fire pit in good condition. Park only in driveway or you will meet an unhappy neighbour.

Charming property, few issues
I really wanted to love our stay at the Cordial House... but unfortunately I have to be honest about a few issues we had during our stay. First off, Christine seemed very lovely and always responded to me quickly. The property is beautiful with a stunning view and the house is decorated well, very picturesque. Unfortunately, I think that the "Instagram-worthy" nature of the property has overshadowed some of the basic comfort and cleanliness requirements. The kitchen and bathrooms were clean enough, but it was clear from the dust & bugs in the corners that the place had not been thoroughly cleaned in a while. We used the laundry machine during our stay, and there were damp/musty towels in the machine. There was also a fridge in the basement that filled the basement with a rotten smell. One of our guests also claimed to have heard rustling/mice in the walls at night. The upstairs bathroom's light was barely brighter than a nightlight, and the shower has a window at chest-level with no curtain, which can be seen into by anyone in the front yard / road. The master bedroom has a large window with a beautiful view, but the sheer curtains meant getting up with the sunrise - whether you wanted to or not. Overall, I certainly appreciate the appeal of the house for intimate get togethers and beautiful photos, but for the cost of the stay I would expect a little more. I wish I could give Christine benefit of the doubt, but some of the issues were too glaring!

Glam Cottaging #cordial.house
Vacationing at Cordial House was the quiet escape our family (of 9) and I were craving. Access to nearby shops, restaurants and to the famed Cavendish Beach was only minutes away! The secluded backyard, set with an open pit fire, surrounded by greenery and the water edge view, set the stage for long family conversations and fun times. Inside Cordial House we fell in love with the intimate layout, yet we never felt like we were crowded or lacked privacy. One would be remiss in not mentioning the beautifully curated items throughout the House, that truly elevated our experience. Is there a hashtag for glam cottaging? If not, let’s just go with #cordial.house! In terms of functionality, all of the amenities were provided, which made for easy packing. Christine was a superb host, readily accessible and provided us with great day trip, antique and restaurant tips. We had such a memorable experience in PEI, we will certainly return.

Cordial House is all that the imagery and words on Instagram portray it as... and, MUCH MUCH MUCH MORE. Christine has poured her heart and soul into his ocean-side sanctuary. From the cozy harvest table for family meals, to the comfy couch with spectacular views of the Gulf, to the incredibly comfortable beds, this experience was unparalleled! All three of our young kids loved it (lots of outdoor space to run around, fire pit for s’mores and more!) and we did too.

A wonderfully relaxing stay
We spent a few days at Christine’s lovely cottage. The location is centrally located to all the best beaches and some fantastic restaurants. The cottage is beautifully decorated and really warm. All the comforts of home were thought of and the space was spotlessly clean. I would highly recommend Christine’s cottage for your next trip to the beautiful PEI.

The most cordial of houses...
We, two families from Maine, with three kids ranging from 5-9, had a fabulous long late-spring weekend at the Cordial House as we explored the land of Anne of Green Gables. The house is perfectly appointed (and beautifully designed). It’s easy to cook in the kitchen, and the kids delighted in the fire pit out back (we were the inaugural users and had a fire every night). The views are stunning, and the house is close to everything in Cavendish—a great home base for all our explorations. Christine was very easy to work with and very responsive to all our queries! A few tips for other travelers—although the official start to the summer season in the states is Memorial Day weekend, that’s not the case in PEI, where the Cavendish attractions, and many restaurants, don’t keep regular hours until the first weeks of June. Also, while this house was great for our kids, who are pretty chill, I would have fretted about a toddler around the white couches and some of the fancier design pieces :). We will be back; the kids can’t stop talking about it—they did not want to leave this little slice of paradise.

Stunning location for a winter getaway.
We were the first guests to stay at Cordial House, and we were blown away by its beauty! The host was extremely accommodating and responsive. The entire cabin is so spacious and bright (even the lower level). Inspiring decor and finishes - it's obvious the host is an accomplished designer! Cozy living spaces and bedrooms. Perfect for a girls' winter getaway. Thanks for the memories Cordial House, we can't wait to visit again!
