Hi Morgan, we are sorry to hear about your experience. We have investigated the unit fully and don't see any signs of roaches. There are plenty of varieties of bugs in Florida, but for that reason we treat for pests on a recommended schedule of once every several months and on an as needed basis.

Hi, we are so happy you will come back to see us! We will share the feedback with our cleaners on the gel. The angle of the road can be slightly difficult at times to see the traffic, but thankfully the speed limit is very low, so it makes it still safe to pull out.

Hi Matthew, When you arrived early to the property, you spoke with the cleaner and she finished up while you were there with her. You stayed the full day and night and we didn't receive a complaint until you were checking out. Upon investigating this complaint, we found none of such issues. On a recent regulatory visit with the health department, we passed with flying colors as well, as we always keep the standard of cleaning high. For future guests to be aware of, the rooms are thoroughly cleaned between guests and often cleaned 3-6 times a week due to turnovers. Our laundry is also sent out to be professionally laundered. We follow all hotel safety standards.

Hi Julia,We are glad you had a great stay overall. After speaking with our team and housekeepers, management was informed that your check-in took place at 11am, after being told that we would let you know when the room was ready but that it was not available for check-in yet. We received a call from our housekeeper letting us know that someone was in the room and she thought it was the prior guest, however, realized that you checked into the room without authorization prior to it being cleaned. Our cleaning and maintenance staff do take great pride in keeping our rooms in great cleanliness and condition, so we inspect all rooms prior to check-in. In this case, our housekeeper had to ask you to work around your belongings to try to clean the room and when our maintenance staff showed up to make a scheduled repair, you informed them you did not need it repaired. Since all this took place before your authorized check-in time, we also did not have an opportunity to inspect the beach equipment. When you called to inform us it was broken, we let you know that our staff was already offsite and we would bring you a chair in the morning. I understand this was not to your satisfaction, but we had no way of being able to properly inspect the room due to your unauthorized check-in 4 hours early. In regards to the hurricane evacuation, we spoke to you over the phone and let you know the hotel was closing due to a mandatory evacuation. When you told us you had nowhere to go, we offered the idea of hotels inland and also provided a list of shelters. We were surprised to find that you still had not left when the owner showed up to close up the property, but we were happy to help you find a place to go and help you get there. We would like to reiterate, that we always work hard to make accomodations and a wonderful experience for our guests and have processes in place to ensure guest readiness at the time of check-in.

Hi William,We glad you enjoyed the grounds and the beach during your time here. As advertised in our listing, we do not have a front desk that is staffed, as with only 11 rooms, it is not necessary to operate. We are, however, available by phone at all times or onsite to clean and help during the morning/midday. In terms of the rooms, we do have small rooms like what you rented and we also have one bedroom suites. The pictures on this site accurately reflect the rooms and bathrooms. We have extensively compared pricing with other hotels like ours right by the beach with no pool, and our pricing is very competitive. It is a great place that is a 2 min walk to the beach, but for a great value price.
