Thank you for staying with us and for the feedback. We do offer our guests the option to pay via etransfer to save the 3% surcharge. The surcharge is on our website and is noted in our invoices, but thank you for the note. We have now added it to our confirmation and pre-stay emails in order to ensure it isn't missed by other guests.We are in our third season owning the property, and this year had a glitch when we started to upgrade our booking system. Due to some issues with it not syncing with carriers like Booking or Expedia, etc., we had to manually make some changes. We scrambled to reach out personally to all of our guests as it happened right at the beginning of the season, and we wanted to ensure they were aware of the changes, and to give the opportunity to change if needed at that point. We had actually upgraded several guests to the private one bedroom apartment with its own entrance and private patio at no additional charge. In some cases, this room was a 50/night upgrade.We take a lot of pride in our house and make every effort to maintain its authenticity and beauty. We can assure you that items are not from a dollar store, but yes there are sometimes mismatched items throughout. We feel it adds to the authenticity of the house. Our guests consistently tell us that they feel at home, and we do our best to provide this. This is the highest compliment we could have.We are meticulous about our cleaning standards, and have a checklist for our staff. We also conduct spot checks. We do sometimes have times when we were assisting other guests, and do apologize that we missed this. We are a small, family-run business. We were available immediately when you called us, rectified, and apologized. As well, we always strive to go above and beyone our guests' expectations. If I may add an example, we recently had a guest request additional fruit options at breakfast while one of us was in the kitchen. We immediately drove to the supermarket to purchase many different options and get back in time for the guest to enjoy during the breakfast period. This is just one of the ways we try to go above and beyond.As always, we appreciate the feedback as we always strive to better ourselves and stand out from the typical B&B, aiming to make everyone's stay the best it can be.

Hello, Thanks so much for your stay. Many of the .com reservation systems set up an account for the guest with an internal email address separate from their own. A guest must log into their booking provider in order to access our welcome email and check-in instructions. It happens often enough that we now call the guest if there's a late arrival noted and they have booked with one .com partners. We've always got you covered with our 24 hour outside phone though, just in case. Thanks again for your stay and for the great review. It's sincerely appreciated.

Hello Francois, If there's one thing that we are overly particular about, it's a clean room and definitely clean sheets. We would not be in business otherwise and our integrity demands more that. Of course, your room was fully changed and I addressed this Brittany, the person who cleaned your room. I've copied her email to you below. I was made aware of your review at the Elizabeth Manor and I'm sorry to hear that you had concerns about the room. I just want to let you know of the process involved with cleaning a room after a guest checks out. When a guest has checked out, all linens in the room gets removed. Bathroom linens are washed separately, so we can bleach them to remove any additional bacteria during the washing process. As the linens are being washed, we clean the bathroom from top to bottom. We use multiple cleaners to different areas of the bathroom to ensure it is clean and safe for the next guest. Next, the garbage cans are emptied and cleaned with another cleaner to freshen it up. The furniture is then wiped down and cleaned. After that is done, the bed linens are out of the washer and dryer and put back on the bed. The top sheets, and blankets are tucked into the bed. The floors are then vacuumed and mopped to get rid of any dirt, and to freshen up the room. The whole room will take around 40 minutes to clean. We are careful to make sure everything is done correctly so a guest can enjoy their stay without any concerns.If the linens were not fresh enough for you, I would have gladly changed them for your peace of mind. As there was a do not disturb on your door during your visit, I could not refresh your room after check-in. Thank you sincerely. Brittany.
