This is a hotel in transition and should close while it is being upgraded. It is no longer Hotel Spokane North but goes by another name, which I forget. There is no signage out front to indicate it is a hotel at all. The parking lot has garbage in it and the clientele are sketchy at best. The heat worked well in the room and the bed was fine, but the furniture was stained, the mirrors and microwave were streaked, the kitchen counter was sticky, there were cigarette burns on the bathtub, the ice machine was broken, there was no wifi, and the phone in the room was ancient. Police had been summoned in the morning when I left for the day and an attorney was at the front desk when I returned. This made me uncomfortable. Overall, this hotel has the potential to be nice when it is refurbished but should close until it is ready for customers. The staff, by the way, couldn't have been nicer. I checked out after one night to find another place to stay. I had booked three nights.
