To Whom it may concern:
What follows is our review of a recent week spent at Lazy Loon Lakehouse on Wolfe Lake.
The property is beautifully maintained on a gorgeous, clean, quiet lake.
The home is open, light-filled, spacious, clean and accommodating. Ernesta the host clearly makes considerable efforts to welcome her guests, and ensure their comfort and convenience.
A hard copy of a thorough Guest Guide and Welcome Package (which is also sent electronically well ahead of arrival) reinforces for the guest upon their arrival that everything has been properly taken care of and well thought through.
The layout is perfect for large families, with a master bedroom and one adjoining bedroom on the main level, together with a very spacious open plan including kitchen, dining and living areas as well as a large entry vestibule and a small office.
There are three additional bedrooms in the basement, which also includes its own full bath, a second, very large screen TV, a ping pong table and a large selection of board games. The scale of the house is not properly conveyed by the photos which do not do it justice in terms of the functionality and layout of the principle rooms. The sight lines through the main living area out onto the lake and beyond are spectacular and render all the sunsets interesting.
Our children are now young adults; in twenty years of renting cottages, we have yet to encounter such a high degree of thoughtful preparation and organization. It was a pleasure! From kitchen utensils to beds and bedding, everything is of high quality and well-maintained. Imagine reaching for a frying pan - and being surprised by the heft; imagine reaching for any of several knives and finding them all sharp; imagine laying your head down on your pillow at the end of your day and smiling as you feel the support of a luxurious mattress. The flatware and glassware are all aesthetically pleasing and perfectly functional. There are no compromises here.
We are looking forward to returning and would not hesitate to recommend Lazy Loon Lakehouse to even the most discerning.
