Hostel Room good for 1 njght stay, not more
Its ok for one or two night stay. As housekeeping doesnt sweep the floor. So after 3 nights stay, we got to clean the floor of sand and stray hairs ourselves. We had 2 beds but when housekeeping came, they only replaced one of the bed's sheets&blanket. What kind of weird service is that? Its better for a single backpacker or for people who trust each other very much cos while i am fine that the toilet door has no lock, the frosted glass separator is way too transparent- you get to see more than the silhouette. Otherwise, the heater is good for a hot bathe in this cool season and the room is warm.

This hotel is very close to the Myeongdong shopping street. Just across the road and you can enjoy your shopping heaven. and very close to take the bus direct to the airport. It just cost you 15000won per trip. Very convenient and worth the price. Only this hotel has no elevator, so have to climb up to 4th floor with the luggage. Overall, im enjoyed staying here.

The room gives you a feel like you are in a cruise -- the room is so small. A cabin in a cruise at least provides you with a decent size bath towel unlike this hotel which only provides a handtowel.

The location is so close to subway and bus station which is super nice. The staff is so helpful and greeting with little gifts which impress me a lot. There’s no elevator so the 5th floor room might be a bit hard to get there but it’s ok if you’re still young. Room temp a liitle bit weird cause the weather outside is so cold but inside is too hot and I have to turn on the aircon during 8c weather night. Overall is good. Will visit here agin :)

Near the Myeong-dong Station
i would suggest this guesthouse for backpackers or light travellers as there are no elevator to the upper level. the staff is super friendly as they can speak english adequately. they have washing machines but no dryer. overall, we enjoyed staying here.

Switched room during our stay without informing
It was all OK until you decided to move all our belongings from the room we had been occupying for 2 nights (total length of stay = 4nights) to another room all by yourself without getting consent and prior information. It was a great shock to find out when we return to an empty room and then only saw the little post it note on ur reception desk FYI us on the move. This is definitely not acceptable. Anyway, despite the great location, this place is quite old (only stairs) and the washroom is very tiny with poor ventilation.

The stay are really nice. They have some stuff for breakfast too!! The rooms are small and the beds are hard. We did find some hair in the bathroom but not much. Everything else is great!! We will stay here again.

What a nightmare ....!!!!
This is the worst place i stayed. Staff are not helpful and unpolite. I stayed in single room which you cant even put your suitcase in the room..you hv to leave it in the hallway... Bed sheet and pillow are dirty and old , dont even know if they hv been changed ? And in the middle of the night you can smell garbage in the room.... Bathroom are dirty with rust.... Really cant describe how bad it is.... If you want to fuxk up your holiday, this is your 1st choice !!!

the people were very friendly. guy actually came out to find me in front of myeongdong station but the room was small and not the cleanest or newest.. the sink was completely clogged and the room smelled kind of bad. only shampoo bodywash and soap are provided. no toothbrush or toothpaste or anything else. overall though for the price i cant complain really..

The location is great and staff is nice and helpful. However, it is not for traveller with big luggage because there is no elevator and the room is very small and old. Double room has not even enough space to put big luggage. First, I got double room at 4th floor but the staff offered me the room at Vestin Villa Myeongdong instead. It locates up to the hill but the room is a lot better and bigger.

Pleasant Affordable Surprise in Myeongdong!
This was our first night in Seoul for a 4 day trip after Christmas, and it was cold outside, but the heated floors kept the room warm enough. There was a little moldy smell, but that soon went away after we opened the bathroom window a little bit. Great location and ease of getting to and from the train. The bed was actually comfortable compared to other "frugal" hotels we've stayed in that had rock hard beds that didn't even give when you sat down - but I think that's what the "standard" is because we've noticed alot of hotels have hard beds. Surprisingly, we'd stay here again.

Checked in and was shuttled off to a "newer hotel" where the hotel staff said is better. Lies!! Using the excuse that they can't speak clear english or that they do not understand did not help. The room smelled of mold and the best they could do was give us some korean febreeze type spray. Breakfast was coffee and bread. Terrible place so I do not recommend!!!

Disappointing
The room was very small which is fine. But the bathroom was in a glass partition of the room and the smell that came from the drain was so awful, really putrid. The glass walls of the bathroom stop about an inch short of the ceilings, meaning that the smell wafts into the bathroom. I couldn't sleep. I also had very loud Chinese neighbours next door who were practically shouting at each other at 1am.

I arrived after 11:00pm, and the desk was already closed. They left my key in the unlocked room, no problem at all! My only complaint was that the other hotel guests were incredibly loud. Friends stayed on a different floor, and they experienced the same thing: loud Chinese tourists all throughout the night. Normally I'm not too bothered by noise, but it was still difficult to fall and stay asleep.

Cheap and served its purpose
It was cheap and close to where I needed to be. I booked it the same day I needed it, so there was a half-price special happening. I just needed to be up early to catch a flight the next day, so I didn't really care about condition as long as it was somewhere to sleep. The neighborhood is pretty sketch, but I'm used to that. If you are only used to American suburb living, don't stay here.

Great location if you like shopping. Basic but great value accommodation for a short stay right in the centre of town.

No phone in rooms. Toilet clogged up right after midnight and no hotel staff was to be found. Luckily found a plunger in a public restroom in the hotel.

Love the location
The hotel didnt have any elevator but staff offered to help me carry my baggage to my room. The hotel is located right by Myeondong. I love the location, but room was very very small and the walls were a bit thin as I could hear clearly the people next door.Overall it is great for solo budget traveler.

one room life style in myeongdong korea.
Good price, good location for myeongdong. Little small for big group. Vending machine in front of building sells beer. First time I've seen this in Korea. Good english skills.

Close to transport, not enjoyable stay.
Room was far too small, uncomfortable and can hear every noise from outside. The noise from other rooms make this unacceptable.
