Little piece of heaven on the beach!
My husband and I have been to this cottage once before. It's our secret getaway. It has everything you need plus the beach is just a few feet away. You can't find another place like this one!

Just lovely!
This was the perfect getaway. A perfectly secluded spot to enjoy doing nothing. We watched the perfect sunrises and walked the beach looking for shells. The house is adorable and provides everything you need. The hosts are super responsive and accommodating. It was a great experience all around and we will definitely stay here again.

Can't beat the view :-) The beach is beautiful and very peaceful. The home itself, however, is in need of some much needed age related maintenance and updating, though. Host was very quick to respond and repair an immediate plumbing issue.

A little Gem
Our stay was great. The house is secluded and has it's own little beach. Great for looking for sea glass and interesting rocks. The King bed was comfy as well as the day bed. Internet service is a little spotty so I would suggest bringing a good read. And bring bug spray! at night the bugs were kinda bad but that is to be expected by a body of water and a cottage in the woods. This is a beach cottage and there is some wear from the elements (also to be expected) but the house still met our needs. The Civil War history of Scotland, Maryland is also very interesting. Overall it was a great end of summer trip.

Clean, well stocked, well decorated, great communication with the owner, wonderful location. The house is better than the pictures or descriptions. This is a truly private beachfront property. Literally 10 steps away from the house. The welcome basket was very thoughtful. The house was very clean. Ample supplies of bath towels. Provided shampoo, conditional, and soap. Day fishing and night fishing were great. If you can, wake up early to experience the sunrise, Please do. I can't even describe in words how beautiful it is. Great property!!!!!

Sunrise and Sunset
My husband and I wanted to get away for a little just us two and we found the perfect location. The area is very nice even the people were very friendly knowing we were not local residents. The sunsets are amazing and the sunrises are even better. I would love to bring my children the next time we come. The only things I would recommend would be to get curtains for all windows especially in the living room with the day bed. People were walking through the side of the house and you can see there lights but it can be mistaken as they are looking inside the house so the living room does not give much privacy. Also the ice maker didn’t not work. Otherwise very great place to stay. Thank you

The Perfect Bay Bungalow
Our family enjoyed a perfect week at Rhett’s perfect little bay bungalow. The porch and beach are unrivaled in the area, and the crabbing was excellent! Rhett and his wife were excellent hosts, and quickly responsive when a (very minor!) issue came up during our stay. Highly recommend and can’t wait to return!

Lovely
This place has a magic to it that is hard to describe. This was our second trip to the property and it didn’t disappoint. The home is perfect for those who have children (or don’t) and want to let them play right outside. In the afternoon there is shade coverage on the sand for them to play for hours. Lots of cookware to make meals so you never have to leave once you arrive. Crab catching just down the beach, less than 3 minute walk. Thanks for letting us stay!! Can’t wait to come back.

Perfect Vacay
My husband and I wanted to plan a family vacay that was different then just a trip to an amusement park or water park. We wanted to spend some real quality family time with our girls. That’s exactly what we got. From playing with the sand and collecting rocks, to a beach campfire with s’mores and story telling, to playing board games in the house while there was a storm and a coastal flood warning going on outside lol. We truly had an amazing vacation. We went the last week and April. The temperature was supposed to be between 55-67 the days we were there, so I didn’t think our girls would be able to play in the water. But with the sun hitting off the water, it felt more like high 70s low 80s and it felt like a warm summer day. We can’t wait to book again.

The house was adorable and the location can't be beat - right on the water and very relaxing. The stay could be improved in two concrete ways. 1) By improving the check in system. We were not informed of the check-in code of the house until we were en route, and then when we arrived, it didn't work. We ended up standing outside in the dark waiting for a response from the property owner for about an hour to get into the house. 2) With crabbing within yards of the house, the house should really be outfitted with a crab pot to steam crabs in. Hopefully this feedback helps improve the logistics of the stay. Otherwise, we loved our stay!

Long weekend away
This beautiful beach cottage is perfect for some quiet time away from it all. The house is steps from the water so you can walk right out to the ocean any time you want. You can set beach chairs out and star gaze or walk along the sandy shore. We enjoyed sitting on the porch having our breakfast and coffee and hearing the waves crash. The house is very comfortable, the beds were great, and the living room was great for watching movies in the evening. The owners also provided lots of games and other things to do. The owners were responsive and left a very helpful guide with things to do and great recommendations for food and sightseeing. We had everything we needed. We would definitely come again.

Can't wait to go back!
I can't say enough good things about our time at the yellow house. We felt at home and the kids had such a blast being so close to the water. I was able to wake up, make coffee and watch the sunrise. My husband cooked in the kitchen without difficulties, homemade pizzas and pasta. Tons of seasonings available. We took the kayak out and discovered quickly it was waterlogged. Be sure to check that before going out. Don't forget to check out the crabs! We can't wait to plan our next trip and I am so excited to return. It was a perfect trip! So much thought and love has gone into making the home warm and welcoming.

Perfect long weekend getaway. Beware jellyfish depending on the timing of your stay. Very relaxing and made lots of memories with our kiddos. So quiet and relaxing
When they say this cottage is right on the water, they are not kidding. It's so private and very relaxing, you can hear the waves from every point in the cottage. The owners were so communicative - we had a question about the oven and they replied extremely quickly. If you're looking for a low-key, relaxing place to stay - this is it!!

Nice, quiet location!
This home was perfect for a getaway with our family of 6. Clean, comfortable and quiet. We had so much fun with all of the beach toys provided. Catching crabs was the highlight of our trip. Loved reading a book on the porch listening to the waves. We had a fire on the beach every night. Highly recommend.

Best day ever
We rented the cottage because my fiancé (now husband) and I wanted to get married with our feet in the water! We had a small morning ceremony with our parents, siblings, and our three kids. The beach front rental was the perfect little place for our “I do’s”. We stayed in the house with just our kids. Our two older kids loved the giant bunk beds and had fun making a fort in the bottom bunk. And there was plenty of room in the master to set up our pack n play for our infant. Each morning we enjoyed breakfast on the patio with the most beautiful sunrises! We spent some time on the water on the giant 7 person raft and had fires and s’mores at night. (Fire wood and s’more fixings were provided). It was an amazing weekend all around.

Kay and Rhett are wonderful hosts. When you enter this property, you are met with snacks and a binder that spells everything out for you. It is clear and includes everything you’d need during your stay. If anything is unclear, they respond to you quickly and are very warm and understanding. Do to something outside of their control we were unable to stay to full time we reserved, and they were gracious enough to offer a partial refund or alternate dates which they were under no obligation to offer. Great people. The property is beautiful and clean, and as pictured. Please keep in mind that there are very few food places in the immediate vicinity. Everything is at least 30-40 minutes away so make sure to bring food during your stay.

The house is in an incredible location right on the beach within a very small private neighborhood. The few other families we saw appeared to be vacationers as well and were all very friendly and there for the same reason we were: to relax in this quiet little paradise. The hosts were on point, providing lots of snacks, toiletries, towels, and pretty much anything else you can think of. The few times we contacted them (for small things), they responded immediately. It's clear they want to provide a quality experience, not "bare minimum" accommodations like some others. To sum it up, lots of great family memories were made and we'll definitely be looking to return in the future!

Really nice property, simple and clean. The owners were very accommodating and even had live bait waiting for us. Very pleased with the property overall. The TVs didn't work for us and the owners came out to get them set up while we were gone, but they still didn't get connected for us. Recommend a set of printed instructions for the future on how to operate the TVs. Otherwise, a great experience.

This cottage was perfect for our family of three! Our son is 5 and we were specifically looking for a charming cottage off the beaten path that was waterfront with a beach. This checked the boxes and was extremely comfortable! The personalized welcome basket and all the ‘small’ touches really added an extra touch that we so appreciated! This was our first visit to the area and the serenity and peace was treasured. Most days we had the beach to ourselves and loved seeing the crabs and terrapins (after a storm!). We’re counting down until we can visit again! Thanks for sharing your home with us!

Wonderful stay
Communication was great during our entire process and stay!! Very accommodating to their guests. Friends stayed in their cottage beside this one and we stayed here so we could enjoy a weekend away with the kids. The kids played, crabbed and kayaked. Sweet and Peaceful Cottage.
We had a sweet time staying at Point Outlook earlier this month. It was so peaceful being able to enjoy the view and sounds of the water with the shoreline being right there! We hope to visit again!

We loved our short stay at this cute cabin. It is located off the beaten path which made it even more attractive for us. We were very pleasantly surprised that we could hear the gentle sound of waves inside the house. So peaceful. The owner was very responsive when I had a couple of questions about the property. Also, the owners provided plenty of little treats which was a nice gesture. I would definitely recommend this property. We will be back!

Just shy of wonderful.
The property was very clean, and it was evident that the owners attempted to make us comfortable. However, there were a few key factors that kept the stay from being great. The biggest, most unacceptable problem was the fact that the shower valve was broken or installed improperly. Guests either had the option to take an extremely hot shower or a cold shower with no in between. This was extremely disappointing after sweating outside on the beach all day. This is also really problematic for guests with skin issues. My partners eczema was irritated by the way too hot water. The second major issue was the lack of screens in the windows. No bay breeze or soothing sounds of the beach!! The third issue was the swarm of biting flies that seems to be attacking the beach facing side of the house most of the day. They rendered the porch useless. If the shower was fixed, screens installed in the windows, and the porch screened, the stay would have been significantly better.

Thank you for your honest review Paul, Firstly, the shower does have multiple settings from cold, hot, warm, Lukewarm etc, if assistance was needed using the shower we have fast response time to our guests and would have happily assisted you in understanding how to properly use the shower. Secondly, we apologize for the flies, there are certain things that aren’t under our control such as nature. We do however, plan on renovating our porch into an all season room during the offseason. Location, location, location
This was an AMAZING property. Literally on the beach! We realized within 10 minutes of arrival that we should get supplies and not leave. We spent all our time on the beach or on the covered porch relaxing and enjoying the beautiful view. The house was perfect. Plenty of room with comfortable bedding and furniture. Owners provided plenty of linens, toiletries and a basket of goodies. Laundry room was a plus! So quiet and peaceful. We definitely plan on booking a week next summer.

Hidden slice of paradise!

Great family getaway!
We came for a long weekend with our three and five year old daughters. The cottage was clean and cozy with a well stocked kitchen and treats and extras provided. We made lots of use of the porch, eating most meals at the table there and sitting in the loungers to watch the girls play in the sand and climb on the rocks of the nearby sea wall. We used the provided nets to catch crabs for dinner and the firewood to make s’mores. The beach was uncrowded and it was a nice, quiet stay. Like one other commenter said, we found the plug in air fresheners overwhelming but it was easy enough to unplug them during our stay. Beds were comfortable and more than enough linens and towels provided.

Great stay with kids and grandparents. Directly on the water the kids can build sandcastles right off the porch. Great for crabbing and cottage was cute and comfortable. Rhett and Kay were very responsive and were quick to help with anything we needed.

Wonderful cottage on the bay
This little cottage is the definition of getting away from it all. We had an absolutely amazing time while we stayed here. Everything about this place is wonderful, from the views directly off of the porch to literally steps from the porch to the water. This is a very relaxing place with all the needed amenities. The bed was very comfortable, the kitchen had all the proper dishes, utensils and cookware, the washer/dryer worked great and the loungers on the porch were just the right fit. Overall, this place was fantastic! We will definitely be coming back for our next vacation. The only complaint, which was easily fixed, was the amount of diffusers/air wicks that were places around the place when we first arrived. We were overwhelmed with the fresh scent when we first walked in, but with the hepa filter, which was amazing by the way, it was able to clean the air within an hour or two. We are even going to purchase one of these filters for our own home, it worked so well. The owners were very communicable and responded quickly to any message I sent them. They made a wonderful vacation home and we can't wait to come back! :-)

Beautiful, quiet location. We hope to return. Neighbors were very friendly and put on an impressive 4th of July fireworks show. The creek a 100 yards or so down the beach is loaded with blue crabs.

Cute cottage right on the bay water in a very quiet area. We saw crabs, jellyfish and cranes. Had the whole family up to watch the sunrise every morning and had a fire on the beach with smores at night. The hosts of this property were easily reachable and left some nice goodies for us during our stay!

Short Getaway
My husband, sister, and I had a wonderful time. Everything you could possibly want was available from beach chairs and fishing rods to steak knives and spices. We spent our day in the sand with our toes in the water and only left to eat on the porch undercover with the fan supplying the same cool breeze as we had down by the water. The bathroom is completely renovated and has anything from towels to cotton balls. There was even shampoo, soap, a packaged toothbrush, and toothpaste if you forgot anything. There was a couple staying next to us with two children about eight years old and a couple on the beach a bit further with a two year old. We have older children 18-21 who we think would enjoy it and are looking forward to bringing them down in the near future. The host, Rhett, was very attentive to any questions we asked throughout our stay and replied quickly.
