I didn't read reviews since I was pretty much over travel research and just wanted an affordable option with good overall rating. The standard room I booked was apparently $30 less than the rooms in the really nice building, which is modern and beautiful with balcony and private saunas. What we got was a deserted building that was a mix of The Shining and a dorm room.
Pros: Very clean and the beds were comfortable, and I liked that you could open part of the window to cool the room off (Finns seem to like hotel rooms HOT).
Cons: The shower was so small that my fiancé had shower with the door open, getting everything wet. Not a single other person in the building, which was kinda creepy. I feel bad that housekeeping has to journey to the old building for just one room, and honestly am kinda surprised they didn't offer upgrade for additional fee at check in. Also, this isn't uncommon in the area, but there were two twin beds rather than a double or queen, even in the new building.
Next time I would pay extra to be in the nice building.
